STANDARD PRINTER COMMANDS

QUERY PRINTER STATUS

Function Causes the printer to send a status message to the

host computer. The status message indicates the

current printer condition, such as ready, printing,

low battery, out of paper, and so on. Such

information is useful when controlling the printer

from a remote site. However, the host computer

must be programmed to properly interpret the

incoming data.
