1 - GENERAL WARNINGS 1.1 Introduction Dear Customer, First of all we wish to thank you for the trust placed in us by purchasing one of our products. Please read and carefully follow the advice given in this installation, use and maintenance manual in order make best use of the product. Make sure: to have installation, testing and cleaning carried as described in this manual; otherwise warranty will be invalidated.
1.3 Technical description The firewood stove mod.BEA is a stove for heating homes by natural convection. The stove burns firewood and meets the requirements of the EN 13240 standard. Stoves with flues, being products for residential use, are indicated in list A ofconstructions and therefore are not subject to inspection by the Fire Department. For the firewood stove feed zone there isprotective glove for using the hot handle. In the ash zone there is an adjustable opening for the introduction of combustion air during the phase of lighting.
1.6 Reference standards Standard EN 13240 : European standard for solid fuel stoves, which contains the technical specifications for its design, operation and operational safety. Standards EN 60335-1 and EN 50165: standards regarding electrical equipment on non-electric appliances.
Set the stove down on the floor carefully without bumping and position it in the required place. Before doing this, make sure the floor can take the weight of the stove, otherwise consult a specialised technician. 2.2 Adjusting the quantityof combustion air Primary air: The primary air is adjusted with the aid of the sliding adjuster below the door and it feeds the fire through the slot. Secondary air: The secondary air is introduced into the stove by means of the sliding adjuster above the firebox door.

NO YES YES YES NO Fig 4 Chimney pots 3 – STOVE USE 3.1 Introduction It is recommended never to leave children unaccompanied near a stove; the risk of getting burnt by the hot surfaces isvery high. Youare recommended to follow these rules meticulously: - never use the stove with the door open; - do not keep kindling cubes or easily flammable materials near the stove; do not move or lift thestove with the handle. 3.
3.6 Operation off season With outside temperatures above 15°C the draught can be damaged by decreasing the fire output, therefore the exhaust gases are not fully discharged (smell of smoke in the room). In this case it is recommended to cleanthe grating of ash and increase the combustion air. Feed the fire withless fuel and clean the grating more frequently. 3.7 Idle period If the stove is not used for long periods it is advisable to store it in a safe and protected place.
5 – TROUBLESHOOTING 5.1 The stove does not work - - Check the opening and dimensions of the flue so they are appropriate for the stove output Check that the flue is made according to current regulations. Check that the flue's inspection doors and openings are closed and sealed. Check that no other appliances are connected to the flue. 5.2 Lighting is difficult - - Open the primary air and fume adjusters. Use firewood and lignite bricks with a low moisture content.
