•SECTION 4 - FIRST AID PROCEDURES
General advice: First aid personnel should pay attention to their own safety. If the patient is likely to
become unconscious, place and transport in stable sideways position (recovery position).
Immediately remove contaminated clothing.
If inhaled: Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, and seek medical attention.
If on skin: Wash affected areas with water while removing contaminated clothing. Seek medical
attention.
If in eyes: Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open.
Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
If swallowed: Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical
attention.
Note to physician Most important symptom and effects are irritation.
•SECTION 5 – FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES•
Suitable extinguishing

Water, carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder
Unsuitable extinguishing
media for safety reasons:
No limitation
Additional information: Vapors are heavier than air and may spread along floors.
Forms explosive mixtures with air at ambient temperatures.
Hazards during fire-fighting: Pay attention to flash-backs. Development of hazardous combustion gases or
vapors possible in the event of a fire. Fire may cause evolution of nitrogen
oxides.
Protective equipment for fire-
fighting:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Remove container from danger zone and cool with water. Suppress
gases/vapors/mist with a water jet. Prevent fire extinguishing water from
contaminating surface water or the groundwater system.
•SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES•
Personal
precautions:
Do not breathe vapors or aerosols. Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep away from heat
and sources of ignition. Evacuate the danger area. Observe emergency procedures.
Environmental
precautions:
Contain contaminated water/firefighting water. Do not discharge into waterways or sewer
systems. Risk of explosion in drains.
Cleanup: Cover drains. Collect and bind with liquid absorbent materials. Dispose properly. Clean
up affected area.

Prevent electrostatic charge. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces, and sources of
