Important Information for Engineered Wood Barn Doors
• After you removed the door from its protective wrapping, we advise that the doors acclimatized in the
room you plan to install it for a minimum of 24 hours.
• Avoid installing near rooms with moisture or where temperatures change through the seasons,
optimal relative humidity in your home to prevent warp, twist, swelling, or shrinking in any wood
product is 25% – 55%. Anything outside these parameters and their eects are not the responsibility
of Colonial Elegance.
• Install indoors only.
• Do not trim, cut or modify the door.
• Do not clean with solvents or commercial cleaners as they may damage the finish on the door. When
cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth or sponge in a small test area before attempting to remove any stain.
Limited 1-year warranty
The doors manufactured and distributed by Colonial Elegance are made using a process that creates a quality
engineered wood substrate. We oer you a one-year (1) year limited warranty on the door, from the date
of purchase.
For engineered wood doors, we recommend the installation of solid wood blocking bracket for drywall
applications. This helps secure your door to the wall. Do not place your barn door directly on the drywall
unless it is securely fastened directly to the studs. Our doors are manufactured to be installed with one of our
decorative rails. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure the strength of the installation
Colonial Elegance warrants all components against defects in workmanship and materials under normal wear
and tear for the limited life of these products.
The warranty will be void if the damage is caused by abuse, mishandling, improper installation or misuse,
indirect or incidental exposure to water and / or moisture or foreign objects that include dripping ceiling or
paint materials.
This warranty does not cover any labor costs incurred in removing, relocating or replacing defective products
or parts of these products. In the event of a defect, malfunction or other failure of the product covered by
the warranty, Colonial Elegance will replace, repair the defect for free within ninety (90) days of receipt of
the product, or refund the purchase price to his sole discretion.

This limited warranty protects the original purchaser only and is not transferable. This limited warranty
supersedes all other warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose, and excludes all incidental or consequential damages.
Any product replacement authorized by Colonial Elegance will be limited to a product of comparable or
similar style and dimensions and of equal value. The doors will be replaced in the original condition of the
purchase. Colonial Elegance cannot be held responsible for the installation, suspension, finishing (stain,
varnish, paint or other) or any modification made by the customer on the original product. Transportation
costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
