TOOLS NEEDED
- Wire Cutters
*To meet TIA/EIA 568 standards, only use CAT 6 23AWG network cable.
Remove 2 1/2” of cable jacket and insert cable into
Cat 6 Jack using the wiring standards on the
diagram in Step 1.

3 TRIMMING THE WIRES
Use wire cutters to remove the excess wire. □
4 INSTALLING THE DUST COVER
Place Dust Cover (C) over jack and snap into place.

Punch down all wires on the jack (A) using the
included plastic punch-down tool (B).
*NOTE* Do not twist or break off excess wire.
*NOTE* Dust Cover (C) cannot be used to punch-down wires.
