1.Trim the cable jacket back about 2 in., being careful not to nick any wires inside.
2. Strip about ½ in. of insulaon off each wire.
3. For the phone line connecons, aach the four color coded wires from one end of phone line cord to
the corresponding color wire terminals on Surface Mount Phone Jack or other device. Loosen the
screws (1) on the block and connect each of the color-coded phone wires to the corresponding color wire
terminal on the block. For example, connect green to green, yellow to yellow, red to red, and black to
black. Reghten the screws (1) to secure the wire connecons together. black. Reghten the screws (1) to secure the wire connecons together.
4. aach the six color coded wires from the phone line cord of the other end of phone line cords to
the corresponding color wire terminals on the back of the new wall jack. For example, connect green to
green, yellow to yellow, red to red, and black to black. Reghten the screws (1) to secure the wire
connecons together.
5. Aach the wall plate to the wall using the two screws (AA) located on the back of the wall plate.
