7.4.6.2 Logging Events Level
User can select the system log events and SMTP events. When selected events occur, the
system will send out the log information. The range of Logging Event Level is from level 0 to
level 7. When the level value is the same as the one among Local Logging, Remote Logging,
and SMTP Logging, the system will issue a log record to location where user has designated.
After configuring, click .
Logging Event Level: 4 events – Cold Start Event, Warm Start Event, Auth Failure
Event, and Port Link Change Event. Pull down the right side item menu to select the
event level. When selected events occur, the system will issue the logs.
Cold Start Event: when the device executes cold start action, the system will issue
a log event.
Warm Start Event: when the device executes warm start, the system will issue a
log event.
Auth Failure Event: You get this trap if a network management system (NMS) polls
the device with the wrong community string.
Port Link Change Event: when the port link has changed, the system will issue a
log event.
