SomeaccessibilitytoolsareavailableintheWindowsoperatingsystem,andotherscanbepurchased
fromthird-partyproviders.

On-screennotificationOn-screennotificationhelpshearing-impairedpeoplebeawareofthestatusoftheir
tablet.On-screennotificationreplacessoundswithvisualcuesortextcaptionsto
indicatethatactivityishappeningonthetablet.Asaresult,systemalertsarenoticeable
evenwhentheyarenotheard.Forexample,whenyouselectoneobject,theobject
ishighlighted.
Touseon-screennotification,openControlPanel,tapEaseofAccess➙Easeof
AccessCenter,andthentapUsetextorvisualalternativeforsounds.
Audionotification
Audionotificationhelpsvisuallyimpairedpeopleorpeoplewithweaksightbeawareof
thestatusoftheirtablet.
Touseaudionotification,openControlPanel,tapEaseofAccess➙EaseofAccess
Center➙Usethecomputerwithoutadisplay,andthenselectTurnonAudio

NarratorNarratorisascreenreaderthatreadstextonthescreenaloudanddescribesevents
likeerrormessages.
ToopenNarrator,taptheSearchicononthetop-rightcorneroftheStartscreenand
thentypeNarratorintothedisplayedsearchbox.Ifyouareusingakeyboard,youcan
juststarttypingontheStartscreenandthenthesearchboxandsearchresultsare
