Anacpoweradapterproblem
Problem:Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandtheworkingelectricaloutlet,butthe
poweradapter(powerplug)iconisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnotificationarea.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
1.Makesurethattheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect.Forinstructionsonconnectingtheac
poweradapter,seeSafety,Warranty,andSetupGuidethatcomeswithyourcomputer.
2.Iftheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect,turnoffthecomputer,thendisconnecttheac
poweradapter.
3.Reconnecttheacpoweradapter,thenturnonthecomputer.
4.IfthepoweradaptericonstillisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnotificationarea,havetheacpower
adapterandyourcomputerserviced.
Powerproblems
Printtheseinstructionsnowandkeepitwithyourcomputerforreferencelater.
Ifyourcomputerisgettingnopoweratall,checkthefollowingitems:
1.Verifythepowerbutton.Referto“Statusindicators”onpage6.Thepowerbuttonisilluminated
wheneverthecomputerison.
2.Checkallpowerconnections.Removeanypowerstripsandsurgeprotectorstoconnecttheacpower
adapterdirectlytotheacpoweroutlet.
3.Inspecttheacpoweradapter.Checkforanyphysicaldamage,andensurethatthepowercableisfirmly
attachedtotheadapterbrickandthecomputer.
4.Verifytheacpowersourceisworkingbyattachinganotherdevicetotheoutlet.
Ifyourcomputerdoesnotrunonbatterypower,checkthefollowingitems:
1.Ifthebatteriesrunoutofpower,attachacpoweradaptertorechargethebattery.
2.Ifthebatteriesarechargedbutthecomputerdoesnotrun,callLenovoCustomerServiceCenterto
haveitserviced.
Apowerbuttonproblem
Problem:Thesystemdoesnotrespond,andyoucannotturnoffthecomputer.
Solution:Turnoffthecomputerbypressingandholdingthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormore.Ifthe
systemisstillnotreset,removetheacpoweradapterandresetthesystembyinsertingoneendofaneedle
orastraightenedpaperclipintotheemergency-resethole.Tolocatetheemergency-resethole,refer
