Asolid-statedriveproblem
Problem:WhenyoucompressfilesorfoldersbyuseofthedatacompressionfunctioninWindows,and
thendecompressthem,theprocessofwritingtoorreadingfromthefilesorfoldersisslow.
Solution:ApplythediskdefragmentationtoolinWindowsforfasteraccesstothedata.
Asoftwareproblem
Problem:Anapplicationdoesnotruncorrectly.
Solution:Makesurethattheproblemisnotbeingcausedbytheapplication.
Checkthatyourcomputerhastheminimumrequiredmemorytoruntheapplication.Refertothemanuals
suppliedwiththeapplication.
Checkthefollowing:
•Theapplicationisdesignedtooperatewithyouroperatingsystem.
•Otherapplicationsruncorrectlyonyourcomputer.
•Thenecessarydevicedriversareinstalled.
•Theapplicationworkswhenitisrunonsomeothercomputer.
Ifanerrormessageisdisplayedwhileyouareusingtheapplicationprogram,refertothemanualssupplied
withtheapplication.
Iftheapplicationstilldoesnotruncorrectly,contactyourplaceofpurchaseoraservicerepresentative
forhelp.
Problemswithportsandconnectors
Thefollowingarethemostcommonproblemswithportsandconnectors.
AUSBproblem
Problem:AdeviceconnectedtotheUSBconnectordoesnotwork.
Solution:OpentheDeviceManagerwindow.MakesurethattheUSBdevicesetupiscorrect,andthatthe
assignmentofcomputerresourceandtheinstallationofthedevicedriverarecorrect.ToopentheDevice
Managerwindow,gotoControlPanelandclickHardwareandSound➙DeviceManager.Ifyouare
promptedforanadministratorpasswordorconfirmation,typethepasswordorprovideconfirmation.

AThinkPadPenProproblem
Problem:TheThinkPadPenProdoesnotperformwell.
Solution:Ifthependoesnotperformwell,insertthepenintothepenslottochargeitforaboutfiveminutes.
Note:Ensurethatyourcomputerison.Otherwise,thepenwillnotbecharged.
