Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.
Attention:Theprocessofinstallinganewoperatingsystemdeletesallthedataonyourinternalstorage
drive,includingthedatathatwerestoredinahiddenfolder.
ToinstalltheWindows10operatingsystem,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheThinkPadSetupprogram.See“UsingtheThinkPadSetupprogram”onpage75.
2.SelectStartup➙BoottodisplaytheBootPriorityOrdersubmenu.
3.Selectthedrivethatcontainstheoperatingsysteminstallationprogram,forexampleUSBHDD.Then
pressEsc.
4.SelectRestartandensurethatOSOptimizedDefaultsisenabled.ThenpresstheF9keytoload
defaultsettings.
5.PresstheF10keytoexittheThinkPadSetupprogram.
6.Connectthedrivethatcontainstheoperatingsysteminstallationprogramtothecomputer,andrestart
thecomputer.
7.Installthedevicedriversandnecessaryprograms.See“Installingdevicedrivers”onpage75.
8.Afterinstallingthedevicedrivers,applyWindowsUpdatetogetthelatestmodules,forexamplethe
securitypatches.
9.Dependingonyourpreference,installLenovoprograms.ForinformationaboutLenovoprograms,
see“Lenovoprograms”onpage12.
Note:Afterinstallingtheoperatingsystem,donotchangetheinitialUEFI/LegacyBootsettinginthe
