IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION Some of the following information may not apply specifically to your phone. However, as with any electronic product, these safety precautions should be observed when using this product. ? Please keep this manual in a safe place, for it contains important safety information and operating instructions. ? Please follow and adhere to all warning, safety, and operating instructions indicated on both the phone and in this manual before use.
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PHONE LED Indicator : Flashes to indicate an incoming call or message. It also lights up (flashes) when you turn on the phone. Backlit LCD Screen : The LCD screen contains three areas; - The top line displays indication about your phone’s operating mode. - Two lines in the middle are the display areas for numbers and characters. - The bottom line displa ys menus. Menu Keys ( / ) : This key performs several useful functions. - During incoming calls, press it to answer the incoming call.
END( ) Key : Press this key to disconnect a call or to return to Standby Mode from any menu. Press and hold this key to turn the phone On or Off. SEND( ) Key : This key performs several useful functions. - Dial a number and press it to connect. - Press it once to redial the last outgoing number. Numeric Keys : These keys are to dial and to input numbers and characters. ? * : This key performs several useful functions. - Change bells to vibration - Use as navigation key.
DISPLAY INDICATORS Display indicators appear across the bottom of your phone’s LCD screen. These display indicators (or icons) will vary based on your phone’s operating modes. Signal strength : This icon shows your current signal strength. More lines indicate more signal strength. Five lines indicate maximum strength, and one line indicates least strength. No service indicator : This icon indicates your phone cannot find a signal because you’re outside a service area.
BATTERY INFORMATION The rechargeable Lithium-polymer battery included in your kit is partially charged so that you can use the phone immediately once it has been activated. Attaching the Battery To attach the battery to your phone: 1. Lineup the metallic contacts on the base of the battery to the base of the phone. 2. Place the battery on the back of the phone, with the top of the battery about a quarter of an inch from the latch. 3.
A completely discharged standard sized battery charges full in approximately tbd hours. Leaving your phone powered on during charging or charging two batteries simultaneously will increase charge times. Leaving the battery connected to the charger after it has been fully charged will not harm the battery. ? WARNING After the battery is fully charged, the battery can be discharged.
The phone will automatically recheck for a signal periodically. To manually force the phone to recheck for a signal, press any key. A message on the display will let you know when the phone is operating in Power Save Mode. Conversation Mode. You can place and answer calls only when your phone is turned on. During a call, the phone is in Conversation Mode.
BASIC FUNCTIONS 1. Making Calls In standby mode, enter the phone number (up to 32 digits) by pressing the digit keys. The phone number is displayed from left to right. Press “SEND( entered phone number (if service is available). )”. The phone places the call to the 2. Ending Calls To end a call, press “END( )”. The call time (length of the call) will be displayed along with the name or number of the called party (if available). The phone returns to Standby Mode automatically. 3.
- Press “? ” to increase and “? ” to decrease the mic volume. Once a call has ended, the mic volume reverts back to factory set level. 7. Volume You can adjust volume of the earpiece by using the volume keys on the side of the phone. Briefly press the volume key once to display your current earpiece volume setting. Repeatedly press the volume key to adjust. To adjust earpiece volume during a call, press “? ? ” to increase or decrease earpiece volume. 8.
13. Silence Mode If you want to silence an incoming ring, for example, when you are in a meeting, press “END( )”. Then the incoming ring will be silenced. Then the caller will be noticed that you are not available to answer. Note 1) Although the incoming ring is silenced, the call is still coming. If you want to answer, press any keys.
MENUS I. PHONE BOOK 1. Phone Book Search You can go to Phone Book list by pressing “? ” to see all the phone number list you stored alphabetically. Also you can fine a phone number according to Name, Location Number, Phone Number or Group. a. Search by name You can find a number you stored in Phone Book by entering a name. - Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book”, “1. Search” and select “1. Name”. - Enter the name you want to call.

7. Auto Keypad Lock If you set “Auto Keypad Lock” as “Auto”, the keypad will automatically locked after 30 seconds when you don’t use. - Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Phone Setting” and “7. Auto Keypad Lock”. - Select “Auto” or “off” and press “OK ( - If you want to release the keypad lock, press “MENU )” to set. ” and “(#)? ” on a standby mode. III. VOLUME / ALERT 1. Ring Type You can set the alert for incoming calls in 5 different ways.
- Scroll “? /? ” to increase or decrease the volume level. - Press “OK ( )” to set. b. Key Volume This option allows you to set the key volume level. - Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Volume”, and “2. Key Volume”. - Scroll “? /? ” to increase or decrease the volume level. - Press “OK ( )” to set. c. Call Volume This option allows you to set the earpiece volume level. - Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Volume”, and “3. Call Volume”.
IV. PERSONAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT Your phone supports various additional functions, including Alarm, Schedule, Calendar, Calculator, Memo and World Time. 1. Alarm The 24-hour alarm can be set to go off at a set time while your phone is on. If the phone is powered off at the set time, the alarm will not sound. To set the alarm, press “MENU ( )”, “4. PIM”, and “1. Alarm”. - Choose “Alarm 1” or “Alarm 2” and press “OK ( )”.

To access the Security Menu in Standby Mode, press “Menu ( )” and “5. Security”.
- Enter the new password again and press “OK ( )” to set. 3. Restricting “Restric ting” restricts outgoing calls, access to stored phone book and message service without entering correct password. To set restriction, press “MENU ( )”, “5. Security”, and “3. Restrict”. a. Call Restriction: - Press “1. Call Restrict” and enter the password. - Select “Yes” or “No” and press “OK ( )” to set. b. Phone Book : - Press “2. Phone Book” and enter the password.
- Press “MENU ( )”, “6. Call Info” and “1. Auto Answer”. - Choose “Off”, “Always” or “Earphone” and press “OK ( )” to save. 2. Call Answer Calls can be answered either by pressing a SEND( )key or by pressing anykey. - Press “MENU ( )”, “6. Call Info” and “2. Call Answer”. - Choose “Any Key” or “Send Key” and press “OK ( )” to save. 3. Auto Redial - Press “MENU ( )”, “6. Call Info” and “2. Auto Answer”. - Choose “On” or “Off” and press “OK ( )” to save. 4.

MESSAGE SERVICES Your phone can send and receive two types of message services – text (SMS: Short Messaging Service) and voice - if the services are available from your carrier. If you subscribe to either or both services, callers can leave you text messages or voice mail. Your service provider then transmits the text messages and voice mail notifications to your phone I.

You can then write a new message, or edit sent messages or message in Message Box . Press “OK (? )” to complete. - Enter a phone number you want to send to.
- Choose “3. Number Store” to store a phone number received with a voice mail. - If you want to delete the message, press “DEL ( )” while you are reading the voice mail list. - If you want to call the sender back, simply press “SEND( the voice mail. )” while you are listening to Note) Voice mail feature may work differently depending on your service region. In certain regions, you can listen to the voice mail by pressing “Listen ( ) “while in the voice mail message view.
- Press “SMS( )”, “3. SMS Setting”, and “5. Priority”. - Choose from Normal or Urgent and press “OK ( )” to save. 6. Delete All You can delete all messages of Inbox or Outbox: - Press “SMS”, “3. SMS Setting”, and “6. Delete All”. - Choose “Inbox” or “Outbox” and “On” and press “OK ( 29 )” to delete.
Using Menu During a Call 1. Phone Book Search During a call, press “Menu ( )” and “1. Phone Book Search” 2. Mute During a call, press “Menu ( )” and “2. TX Voice Mute”, and then you voice will be mute. To deactivate it, select “2. TX Voice Mute” again or simply press “Quit( )” 3. DTMF Mute During a call, press “Menu ( )” and “3. DTMF Mute”, and then you DTMF tone will be mute. To deactivate it, select “3. TX Voice Mute” again “Quit( )”. 4.
