Appendix 5: Docking for the first time
Before docking you need to ensure that all of the specific drivers and support software for your
specific Armada have been installed. Please refer to “Installation of Compaq Drivers and
Enhancements” for the list of deliverables and instructions on how to install them.
Compaq strongly recommends a ‘cold dock’ for the user’s 1

docking under Windows NTW.
Properly shutdown Windows NTW by clicking
Start → Shut Down → Shut Down
and clicking
on
OK
. Place the computer in the docking station or convenience base and power the unit back
on.
