Note - Any time you add, remove, or replace hardware, run the Conﬁguration

Assistant utility.

For example, to replace a 3Com EtherLink III card with an SMC EtherEZ card, run

the following command as root:

# mv /etc/hostname.elx0 /etc/hostname.smc0

and then perform a reconﬁguration boot for your changes to take effect:

# touch /reconfigure

# reboot
