The life expectancy of a reed switch is dependent upon the load
being switched. At maximun rated loads life expectancy is approx.

operations. Lower load ratings can increase the life up to 5x10

operations. Mechanical life or low level loads can be at least 10

operations. Switching inductive, capacitive or lamp loads can
considerably reduce the life expectancy.
