6. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any
opening.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
10. Unit is hot when in use. Do not let heated
surfaces touch eyes or skin.
11. Do not place the heated unit directly on
any surface while it is hot or plugged in.
12. Never block the air openings of the appli-
ance or place on a soft surface, such as a
bed or couch, where the air openings may be
blocked. Keep the air openings free of hair,
lint and other debris.
13. Do not use an extension cord with this
appliance.
14. Do not touch hot surfaces of the appli-
ance. Use handles or knobs.
15. Do not attempt to touch the housing of
your appliance near the straightening plates,
as it is hot when in use.
16. Do not use with a voltage converter.

INSTRUCTIONS
This flat iron is intended for household use. Use
on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This unit is
designed to be operated at 120 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
TO STRAIGHTEN HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry
before using the flat iron. Plug the iron into
an electrical outlet. Turn on unit. Select
desired temperature setting; the indicator
light will blink for each temperature set-
ting until selected temperature is reached.
Indicator light will then become steady.
To turn off, press ON/OFF button (lights will go
off). Never leave your flat iron on and unat-
tended. However, should you fail to turn the
unit off, it will shut itself off automatically
within 60 minutes.
WARNING: The flat iron’s tourmaline
ceramic-coated plates will get very hot
within a few seconds and should not
come into contact with the skin after the
flat iron has been turned on.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on hair
extensions.

INSTANT HEAT TECHNOLOGY
The iron’s unique high temperature settings
and Instant Heat technology provide styling
versatility for all hair types. If you have fine
hair, a low temperature will provide the best
results. If you have thick, wavy or hard-to-
straighten hair, keep the heat setting on high.
You can vary the iron’s temperature according
to your particular need by selecting the desired
temperature setting.
For best results, use a light styling product
before blow-drying hair. Start with a hair
section that is 1½ inches wide and no
more than ½ inch thick. Open the iron and
place the hair section between the two hot
plates, close to the scalp. Trap hair between
the plates by firmly squeezing the handles
together. While maintaining the tension,
slowly pull the unit down along the hair
section toward the end. At the end, release
the pressure on the handle and allow the hair
to slide out. Repeat process on additional
sections of hair until you achieve the hairstyle
you desire. It may be necessary to repeat
process on certain areas, depending on the
texture of your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learn-
ing to use this flat iron. After using the iron
several times, you will learn the ideal way to
straighten and style your hair.

Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo sola-
mente con Corriente Alterna de 120 V (60 Hz).
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha
que otra). Como medida de seguridad, se
podrá enchufar de una sola manera en la
toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara
en la toma de corriente, inviértela. Si aún no
entrara completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta
función de seguridad.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL ALISADO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Enchufe
el cable en una toma de corriente. Encienda
el aparato. Fije la temperatura al nivel desea-
do. Los indicadores luminosos parpadearán
hasta que el aparato alcance la temperatura
deseada. Entonces, dejarán de parpadear y
permanecerán encendidos.
Para apagar el aparato, oprima el botón
de apagado. Los indicadores luminosos se
apagarán. Nunca deje el aparato desatendido

CALENTAMIENTO INSTANTÁNEO
Este aparato ofrece 30 opciones de tem-
peratura, para todo tipo de cabello, y calienta
muy rápidamente. Si su cabello es fino,
le recomendamos que utilice un nivel de
temperatura bajo. Si su cabello es espeso,
grueso, ondulado o resistente, le recomenda-
mos que utilice un nivel de temperatura alto.
¡Personalice la temperatura, según su tipo de
cabello!
Para lograr resultados óptimos, aplique una
loción fijadora ligera sobre el cabello antes
de peinarlo. Divida el cabello en secciones de
1½ pulgada (4 cm) de ancho por ½ pulgada
(1.5 cm) o menos de espesor. Coloque el
aparato cerca del cuero cabelludo. Abra
las placas y ponga una sección de cabello
entre ellas. Cierre las placas. Baje la plancha
lentamente hasta las puntas, manteniendo
las placas bien cerradas. Afloje el cabello tras
llegar a las puntas. Repita el proceso con
cada sección de cabello. Según la textura del
cabello, puede que sea necesario repetir el
proceso varias veces en cada sección.
