WARRANTY
The information and recommendations set forth in this Product Data Sheet are
based upon tests conducted by or on behalf of Conco Paints. Information and
recommendations set forth herein are subject to change and pertain to the
product offered at the time of publication. Consult your Conco Paint retailer or
sales representative to obtain the most recent Product Data Sheet.
WARNING! Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other
means my generate dust or fumes that contain lead. Exposure to
lead dust or fumes may cause brain damage or other adverse
health effects, especially in children or pregnant women.
Controlling exposure to lead or other hazardous substances
requires the use of proper protective equipment, such as a
properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper
containment and cleanup. For more information, call the National
Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD (in US) or contact
your local health authority.
To ensure proper adhesion, all surfaces must be clean, dry and
free from dirt, wax, grease, oil, chalk, mildew and loose or peeling
paint. Nail holes, cracks and other surface imperfections should
be properly filled, sanded smooth and dusted clean. All mildew
and mold must be completely and thoroughly removed. Glossy
surfaces must be sanded and dusted clean. Always wear a
properly selected and fitted NIOSH/MSHA approved dust mask or
respirator when sanding.
Concrete, Masonry, Stucco: Remove all surface contamination by
washing with an appropriate cleaner, rinse thoroughly and allow to
dry. Existing peeled or checked paint should be scraped and
sanded to a sound surface. Glossy surfaces should be sanded
dull. Stains from water, smoke, ink, pencil, grease, etc. should be
sealed with the appropriate primer/sealer. Pressure clean to
remove all dirt, dust, grease, oil, loose particles, laitance, foreign
material, peeling and defective coatings, chalk, form release
agents, moisture curing membranes, etc. Remove all mildew.
Concrete and mortar must be cured at least 7 days at 75°F. Fill
bugholes, air pockets, cracks, and other voids with an appropriate
patching material. Masonry surfaces must be dry, 15% or less of
water and within a pH range of 6 to 12.
Mildew
Remove before painting by washing with a solution of 1 part liquid
bleach and 3 parts water. Apply the solution and scrub the
mildewed area. Allow the solution to remain on the surface for 10
minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow the surface to dry
before painting. Wear protective eyewear, waterproof gloves and
protective clothing. Quickly wash off any of the mixture that comes
in contact with your skin. DO NOT ADD DETERGENTS OR
AMMONIA TO THE BLEACH/WATER SOLUTION.
Clean hands and tools with warm, soapy water
Promptly wipe up spills and spatters with a damp cloth
In event of a spill, use sand or kitty litter to absorb the spilled
product
Dispose of empty container or unused portion in accordance
with local, state, and federal regulations
After cleaning, flush spray equipment with mineral spirits to
prevent rusting of the equipment
Follow manufacturer’s safety recommendations when using
mineral spirits
Keep from freezing
Not for use on roofs, floors or decks
Not for use on horizontal surfaces where water may collect
If this product, when applied according to label instructions, fails
to perform to your complete satisfaction, we will either replace an
equivalent quantity of product free of charge or refund the
purchase price, upon presentation of proof of purchase. This
warranty does not include labor or costs associated with labor for
the application of any product. This warranty gives you specific
legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary state to
state.
