Jasc History
Jasc Software was founded in 1991 by a commercial airline pilot with a background in computer science. He
began developing graphic utilities and posting them on computer bulletin boards. As a result of receiving an
overwhelming response and gathering valuable feedback from users to incorporated into new products, Jasc’s
flagship product, Paint Shop Pro was released. The company's formula for success hasn't changed over the
years. Jasc is one of the few software companies to offer its software to the world for public beta testing. With
over 40 million loyal customers globally, this allows the company to maintain an open line of communication
with users and industry experts. Because of this close communication, Jasc incorporates user feedback to
develop and enhance each product.
