I. Product Information
A. Product Name: Congoleum DuraCeramic and DuraCeramic Dimensions
B. Description and Ingredient Information: DuraCeramic tiles with a nano-composite surface
glaze fortified with aluminum oxide featuring silver antibacterial product protection and
Scotchgard™ Protector. These flooring products are intended for use in residential and light
commercial environments. The tiles are produced in a variety of designs, colors, sizes and
surface textures.
C. These products represent no known formaldehyde hazard.
II. Miscellaneous Information
A. DuraCeramic tiles are classified as an “article” according to Title 29 of the Code of
Federal Regulations OSHA Hazard Comm. Standard 1910.1200(c). These products
are manufactured to Congoleum Finished Material Specification for that product
classification. They are formulated to pass standard flammability tests.
B. Removal of existing, installed resilient floor covering may result in exposure to
asbestos materials.
The Resilient Floor Covering Institute warns: Do not sand, dry sweep, dry scrape,
drill, saw, beadblast, or mechanically chip or pulverize existing resilient flooring,
backing, lining felt, asphaltic “cutback” adhesive or other adhesive. These products
may contain asbestos fibers and/or crystalline silica. Avoid creating dust. Inhalation
of such dust is a cancer and respiratory tract hazard. Smoking by individuals exposed
to asbestos fibers greatly increases the risk of serious bodily harm.
This information applies strictly to Congoleum products; other manufacturers should
be contacted for information on their products.
This Material Information Sheet is provided in lieu of a Material safety Data sheet. An MSDS is not
required for “articles” as defined by the OSHA Standard 1910.1200(c).
