INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
CONTINUOUS EAVE VENT
1. Using a chalkline, mark a 2 inch wide slot on the
wooden soffit. Position the slot closer to the fascia
than the house.
2. Set the depth of a circular saw so that it cuts the
plywood but doesn't damage the joists. Cut and
remove the 2 inch slot.
3. The plywood should be loose enough to slip the
flange of the eave vent between the plywood and
the joists.
CAUTION! Working above grade is inherently dangerous, be sure that proper fall protection measures
are in place. When working with power tools, gloves and eye protection are absolutely required.
4. Affix the vent by nailing or screwing through the
wooden soffit, the vent flange and into the joists.
Make sure the attic insulation doesn't cover the
vent or restrict airflow.
