Unlocking and locking vehicle
How the remote control works.
To unlock the driver’s door only 8
–press button Þ fig. 32 once and hold it for approxi-
mately 1 second.
To unlock all doors and the rear lid

–Press button twice within 5 seconds .
To lock the vehicle

– Press button for approximately 1 second Þ in
“General description” on page 52.
– Watch that all four turn signal lights will flash once.
To unlock rear lid only

– Press button for approximately 1 second.
– Open the lid (within 60 seconds).

– Push the red button to activate the panic function. The
horn sounds and the turn signals flash.
– Push the button again to deactivate the panic func-
tion.
All four turn signal lights will flash twice when the car is unlocked
with button . After unlocking the vehicle, you have 60 seconds to
open a door or the rear lid. After 60 seconds, the vehicle automati-
cally locks and the alarm system activates again.
All four turn signal lights will flash once when the car is locked.
In addition, when you unlock the vehicle, the seat memory will func-
tion. The stored position of the driver's seat the outside mirrors will
automatically be recalled

Whenever you lock or unlock the vehicle, the interior lights will
come on or go off

Note
• In o rder to make sure th e locking function is working, you s hould
always keep your eye on the vehicle to make sure it is properly
locked.
• Do no use the remote control if you are inside the car, otherwise
you may unintentionally lock the vehicle, and then you would set off
