TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, INJURY TO PERSONS, PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY 1. Before servicing or cleaning the unit, ensure that the electrical service to the fan is locked in the “OFF” position to prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device such as a tag to the service panel. Do not re-establish power supply until the fan has been completely installed. 2.
AXP fans are made of white plastic. Delivery set includes: • • • Fan -1 Fan bracket - 2 Screws with dowels – 4 Depending on model, fan is compatible with 4” (100 mm), 5” (125mm), 6” (150mm), 8” (200mm), 10” (250mm), or 12” (300mm) diameter duct. AXP-C fans are equipped with a pre-wired 120V power cord. The wiring diagram for AXP models is shown in Figure 8 and for AXP-C models in Figure 9. Fans are designed for continuous operation.
Fans may be mounted in ventilation shafts either vertically or horizontally. (Figure 1) An air duct at least 40 inches (1 meter) long should be connected to the inlet. The outlet should always be connected to an air duct.
Fan installation is shown in Figures 2-7. The airflow direction should match that indicated on the fan housing. Exhausted air must not contain any dust or other solid impurities, sticky substances or fibrous materials.

Make sure to disconnect the fan from the power mains prior to any cleaning. Proper maintenance (Figure 10-17) includes periodic cleaning of the fan surfaces from dirt and dust. The impeller blades require thorough cleaning every 6 months. Remove the self-tapping screws (Figures 12) and disconnect the grill from the casing. Wipe the fan blades with a soft cloth soaked in a mild detergent, avoiding dripping on the electric motor.
The AXP fan has been duly certified as serviceable.
