Operation
1. Turn the thermometer on by inserting the battery. Too insert the
battery, slide the Battery Door located on the back in the direction
of the arrow (7, Fig. 1). Insert the battery as directed by the polarity
symbols (+ and -). Replace the Battery Door.
2. Select probe or ambient temperature by switching to the desired
position (2, Fig. 1).
3. Select Fahrenheit or Celsius by switching to the desired unit of
measurement (5, Fig. 1).
4. Display will update every ten seconds.
5. To reset the unit, remove the battery for 4-5 seconds and then
reinstall. For accurate measurement on ambient temperature, keep
the unit where air can flow freely around it.
6. Flip out the plastic stand on the back of the unit to stand on a table.
Mount to wall by sliding Hanger Slot (4, Fig. 1) onto a screw set in
the wall (not flush).
Low Battery Display
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display are all indicators that
the battery is low and needs to be replaced. To replace the battery,
slide the Battery Door located on the back in the direction of the
arrow. Insert a new 1.5V AAA alkaline battery, NOT a regular or
heavy duty battery, as directed by the polarity symbols (+ and –).
Incorrectly installed batteries may damage electronics. Replace the
Battery Door.
All Operational Difficulties
If this thermometer does not function properly for any reason, please
properly replace the battery with a new 1.5V AAA alkaline battery
(see Low Battery section, above). Low battery power can
occasionally cause any number of “apparent” operational difficulties.
Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will solve most
difficulties.
