Disassembly of your fixture will void the warranty.
Your light fixture is prewired for easy installation.
For supply connections, use wire rated at least 90 degrees C.
In the event of glass breakage, the entire lens cover must be replaced
per UL requirements. Contact Customer Service for ordering assistance
(1-800-334-6871).
Installing the bulb
Step 1: Remove the lens cover by twisting it one-half turn counter-clockwise.
Step 2: Using gloves or a soft cloth, gently plug bulb into housing.
Note: Align two pins located at the end of the bulb with two small holes in the
center of housing, and press until firmly seated. Repeat this procedure for the
other light.
Step 3: Replace the lens (making sure the gasket is in place) by aligning
the notches on the housing with the cover and pressing until seated.
Twist one-half turn clockwise until tight.
Note: Replace only with a 120 Volt, 100 watt (or lower wattage) GY8.6 base
bi-pin capsule halogen bulb (Cooper Lighting, LLC model MX100BP replace-
ment bulbs).
Installing your fixture
WARNING: Risk of electric shock.
Note: Estimated assembly/installation time is 15 minutes.
Step 1: Turn off the power at the main fuse/breaker box. Check to make
sure power has been disconnected before continuing.
Step 2: Line up the holes on the mounting bracket with the holes on your
junction box. Using either (2) #6 screws or (2) #8 screws
(depending on the size of your junction box holes). Attach the
mounting bracket to your junction box. Junction box must be at least
1-1/2˝ in depth for proper installation.
Step 3: Thread fixture wires through coverplate gasket.
Step 4: Connect black wires from both lights to house black wire, white wires
from both lights to house white wire, and copper ground wire from
mounting bracket to house ground wire using wire nuts provided.
Step 5: Attach fixture to the mounting bracket using the center bolt provided.
Step 6: Apply silicone caulking around the edges of coverplate to provide
a watertight seal from rain and moisture.
Step 7: Turn on power at main fuse/breaker box.
Note: This fixture can be used with a dimmer switch to adjust light
output. To install a dimmer switch: Use a dimmer switch designed for
incandescent lighting that has a rating of 200 watts or higher. Follow the
installation instructions included with the dimmer switch. Keeping the halogen
bulb in a dim mode for an extended period of time may shorten the life of
the bulb. To achieve maximum bulb life, occasionally turn the switch to
full brightness for a few hours.
