5.1.3.6 IP Settings
The IP Settings tab allows the configuration of all stacks in the current MS group. It allows changing IP
addresses that were auto assigned by DHCP, pinging a manually typed IP address and more. For more
information about remote access configuration refer to section 3.6.
All HCMs in the MS-group are automatically updated when one stack in the group is updated. The update is
done using the Multicast Address which is used for communication between the stacks in the group.
Each HCM has three types of RJ45 Ethernet ports: local port, LAN port and four internal ports.
The local port is usually used for first time local access – refer to section 3.3.
The LAN port is used for remote access – refer to section 3.6.
The internal ports are used for management of the connected ACMs.
Each port DHCP can be set to "Client" for dynamic IP addressing. If DHCP is set to "None" the IP address,
subnet mask and default gateway must be set manually.
