E. Installing Rear-Facing
LATCH Belt
Lap Belt
Lap/Shoulder Belt

Rear-Facing using 5-point harness
E-1 Preparing to Install Rear-Facing
Never place a child rear-facing in a
seating position with an active frontal
airbag. This can result in serious injury
or death.
This child restraint must always face the rear of
the vehicle and be in the fully reclined position
when the child is less than one year old.
E-2 Preparing to Install LATCH
Rear-Facing
Unhook LATCH from
Side of Shell
Remove the LATCH from
the forward-facing belt
path.

Routing LATCH Belt
Insert the LATCH hook
with adjuster through the
rear-facing belt path.
2.
Pull Connector Across
to Opposite Side
Reach under pad and
pull the LATCH connector
across the plastic shell.
LATCH belt MUST be
under pad and in front of
buckle strap.
NOTE: You MUST use the
1st or 2nd buckle strap
slots when rear-facing.
3.
Finished LATCH
Routing
Make sure the LATCH belt
is not twisted.
