Il Costalab Twin Compressor è un doppio compressore che riprende il Compressor CostaLab e tue le sue ca-
raerische sonore e funzionali.
In più, l’aggiunta di uno switch a pressione permee di selezionare una tra le due opzioni, “Ross” e “Dyna” che
richiamano i due suoni di compressore che hanno fao la storia della chitarra moderna.
Con un semplice click è possibile passare dall’aacco più morbido e il release lento della modalità Ross, all’aac-
co rapido e al relase breve della modalità Dyna.
Il Twin Compressor è una macchina ulissima per chi desidera avere all’interno dello stesso box due scelte
disnte, due sfumature che possono ulteriormente caraerizzare il vostro modo di fare musica, indisntamente con
la chitarra o col basso.
Dall’esaltazione dell’esecuzione con l’uso dello slide, che meglio si esprime con la modalità Ross, alle ritmiche
funky degli anni ‘80 che più si addicono alla modalità Dyna, il Twin Compressor rappresenta il compendio necessa-
rio alla personalizzazione del vostro sle.
Grazie alla scelta di componen altamente seleziona, in special modo del circuito integrato, il pedale manene
un rispeo mbrico del vostro suono eccellente e una silenziosità fuori della norma.
Descrizione e Collegamen
Presa jack “In”: conneere in questa presa il jack proveniente dalla chitarra o dal basso.
Presa jack “Out”: conneere in questa presa il jack direo al disposivo seguente o all’amplicatore.
Presa “Dc In”: conneere in questa presa il plug dell’alimentatore esterno (consultare le caraerische soo indi-
cate).
Footswitch: premendo questo pulsante l’eeo viene avato, con- temporaneamente il led si accende, premendo-
lo di nuovo l’eeo viene disavato e il led si spegne. Il sistema di avazione è del po “true bypass” ed è munito
di sistema an-pop.
Indicatore Led: il led di colore rosso è acceso quando l’eeo è in funzione.
Manopola “Level”: questa manopola regola il volume del compressore. Ruotandola verso destra il volume aumen-
ta, mentre diminuisce ruotandola verso sinistra.
Manopola “Sustain”: questa manopola regola la quantà di compressione. Ruotandola verso destra la compressio-
ne aumenta, mentre diminuisce ruotandola verso sinistra.
Pulsante “Ross - Dyna”: questo controllo determina la modalità di funzionamento del compressore: premuto Dyna
(aacco rapido e relase breve), rilasciato Ross (aacco morbido e release lento).
Baeria: il pedale è alimentato mediante una baeria a 9 volt po MN1604. Il circuito viene acceso inserendo il Jack
di ingresso. Per installare e/o sostuire la baeria è suciente rimuovere la vite di ssaggio dell’apposito sportellino
posto sul fondo del box. Per prolungare la vita della baeria è opportuno togliere il jack di ingresso quando si smee
di usare il pedale. Se non si ulizza la baeria per un lungo periodo di tempo è consigliato di rimuoverla dall’interno
del pedale. La baeria non è inclusa.
Alimentazione esterna: è possibile alimentare il pedale con un alimentatore esterno a 9 volt DC che si connee per
mezzo del classico conneore DC da 2,1 mm con negavo centrale. L’assorbimento di corrente è inferiore a 20 mA..
E’ necessario ulizzare un alimentatore ltrato e stabilizzato po Boss PSA o equivalente. L’ulizzo di un alimentato-
re diverso può generare rumori indesidera e, in casi parcolari, può causare la roura del prodoo. E’ comunque
possibile mantenere la baeria all’interno del pedale anche quando questo è alimentato tramite la presa DC, perché
il sistema di alimentazione esterna è in grado di escluderla automacamente.
Misure: Il pedale misura 118x60x34mm escluse le manopole e i Jack.

Furthermore, the addion of a pressure switch lets you select one of the two opons, “Ross” and “Dyna” that
remind of the two sounds of two com-pressors that made history of the modern guitar.
With a simple click you can switch between the soer aack and slow re-lease of the Ross mode, and the quick
release and fastest mode of Dyna.
The Twin Compressor is a very useful machine for those who want to have inside the same box two disnct
choi- ces, two tones that can further char-acterize your approach to making music, without disncon with your
guitar or your bass.
From enhancement of the execuon by the slide techni- que, that best ex-presses by using the Ross sengs,
to the funky rhythmic of the ‘80s that best suit the Dyna sengs, the Twin Compressor represents the necessary
synthe-sis in order to customize your style.
Due of the choice of selected components, especially the IC, the pedal preserves the mbre of your excellent
sound and its noiseless is a really abso-lute pleasure.
Descripon and Connecons
“In” Jack: connect in this jack the plug from the guitar or bass. “Out” jack: connect this jack directly to the next
device or amplier.
“DC In” jack: connect in this jack the plug from the external power supply (see features below).
Footswitch: press this buon to acvate the eect, at the same me the led lights is on. Pressing it again the eect
is turned o and the led turns o. The acvaon system is a “true bypass” and is equipped with an an-pop device.
Indicator led: the low power consumpon red led is on when the pedal is in operaon.
“Level” Knob: this knob adjusts the volume of the compressor. Turn CW to increase the volume; turn CCW to decre-
ase the volume. The volume of the Cos-taLab Booster is resetable.
“Sustain” knob: this knob adjusts the amount of compression. Turn CW to in-crease the compression; turn CCW to
decrease the com- pression.
“Ross - Dyna” switch: this control determines the mode of operaon of the compressor: by presseing down you
get Dyna styled compression (quick aack and short release), by releasing it you get Ross styled compression (so
aack and slow release).
Baery: the pedal is powered by a 9 volt baery type MN1604. The circuit is switched on by inserng the input
jack. To replace the baery you must remove the four screws of the cover with a screwdriver PZ 2. For most baery
life, you should remove the input jack when you stop using the pedal. If you do not use the baery for a long me
is advised to remove it from the pedal.
External power supply: the pedal is powered at 9 volts DC, which connects by the classic DC 2.1 mm plug with
negave center (Tip -VE). The power con-sumpon is less than 20 mA. You must use a power supply ltered and
stabi-lized Boss PSA type or equivalent. Using a dierent power supply it can gener-ate unwanted noise and, in
special cases, can cause damage of the device. You can to keep the baery inside the pedal even when it is powered
throu- gh the external power supply because the DC plug system is able to automacally ex-clude it.
