ThefluerecommendedforuseinAustraliaisastainlesssteelchimneykitsuchastheShamic
#4.InNewZealand,werecommendtheuseoftheMasportProvincialfluekit.
Measurethefireplacerecessandremovebricksasnecessarytoacceptthefireboxoutercase
whichis560mmhigh,590mmwideand460mmdeepfortheLE3000models.TheLE7000
caseis603mmhigh,630mmwideand485deep.Clearawayanyrubbleandinspectandseal
thechimneyandfireplaceasdetailedunderINSTALLATIONREQUIREMENTS.
Checkthedistancebackfromthefaceofthesurroundto theclearspacein thecentre of
chimneywherethefluewillruntodeterminewhetherthefluewillmatewiththefluesocket
inthestovewithoutrequiringanoffset.Ifanoffsetisneeded,fixittothelowerendofthe
assembledfluesectionsinthechimneyandlifttheflueassemblyupwhilethefireboxcaseis
pushedbackintotherecess.Adjustthecasepositionsothatitislevelanditsflangeisinline
withthefaceofthesurround.(Ifafasciaextendingkitisbeingused,theflangeshouldbe
10mmforwardfromthesurroundface).Whereseismicrestraintisnecessary,screwthecase
tothebaseofthefireplacerecesswithatleasttwo12gaugescrewsthroughtheholesinthe
bottompanel.Ifspaceabovethecaseforpositioningandfixingtheflueislimited,accesscan
beprovidedbyslidingoutthetopfrontsectionofthecase(LE3000modelsonly).Forthe
LE7000model,itwillbefoundeasiertofitthefluetothefireboxspigotifthetopbaffle
insidethefireboxisremoved.RemovalisdescribedintheMAINTENANCEsectionunder
FIREBOX TOP BAFFLE. Remove the polystyrene packing from above the baffle before
attemptingtoremovethebaffle.Thefluecanthenbeloweredintoposition.Re-fitthesliding
panelwiththeinsulatingblanketontopinNewZealand.Donotforgettoreplacethebaffle
and secondary air tube if they have been removed. Instructions for fixing and weather-
proofingthetopendofthefluearesuppliedwiththefluekit.
FITTINGINTERNALPARTS
Theinternalcomponentsareidenticaltothefree-standingmodels.Seepage10forFINAL
ASSEMBLY.
FASCIA
AllfasciasexcepttheLE7000aredeliveredfullyassembledandcanbesimplyscrewedto
theflangeofthefireboxcase.
ToassembletheLE7000fascia:-
Laythefasciacomponentsfacedownonthefloorandusethewafer-headscrewstoassemble
thetwosidepanels,themantel-shelfandthebottombrace.(Seeillustrationonpage13).The
wafer-head screws go through the back flanges of the side panels into the flanges of the
mantel-shelfandbottombrace.(Seeillustration).Makesuretheassemblyissquare.
Oncethisiscomplete,carefullyturnthefasciaoverandconfirmthatthespacingbetweenthe
sidepanelsiscorrectbyofferingtheashshelfuptothefascia.Theashshelfhangsontwo
postsatthelowerendsofthesidepanels.(Feedthemainsflexforthefanthroughtheside
panelwhileplacingtheshelfinposition).Firstengagetherightendoftheshelfandthenthe
left.Ifthesidepanelspacingdoesnotpermiteasyassembly,slackenthewafer-headassembly
screwsandadjustasnecessary.
