LeakTestingValves,HoseandRegulator
1. NEVERsmokewhileleaktesting.
2. Extinguishallopenflames.Neverleaktestwithanopenflame.
3. Mixasolutionofequalpartsmilddetergentorliquidsoapandwater.
4. TurnallsideburnercontrolknobstoOFF.
5. Ensurethattheconnectionsfromtheregulatortothesideburnerandtankaretightandsecure.
6. Completelyopentheshut‐offvalve.Ifyouheararushingsound,turngasoffimmediately.Thereisamajor
leak at the connection. Correct before proceeding by calling the Coyote Customer Service line at
855‐520‐1559.
7. Ifnorushingsound,brushsoapysolutionontoallconnectionpoints.
8. If“growing”bubblesappear,thereisaleak.Closetheshut‐offvalveimmediatelyandretightenconnections.
Ifleakscannotbestopped,donottrytorepairtheregulator,orshut‐offvalve,byyourselfandcontactthe
CoyoteCustomerServicelineat855‐520‐1559.
NOTE:Whenleaktestingthisappliance,makesuretotestandtightenalllooseconnections.Aslightleakinthe
systemcanresultinalowflame,orahazardousconditionthatcouldresultinafireorexplosion.
NaturalGasSupplyandConnection
1. Makesureallburnervalvesareinthe“OFF”position
2. AllNGunitsneedtohavearegulatorandshut‐offvalveonthesupplyline.
3. AllPipethreadsneedtohaveproper,gas‐rated,outdoor‐ratedthreadsealant.Flareendsdonotneedor
utilizepipesealant.
4. YourNGCoyotesideburnercomeswitha½”regulator
a) Installerneedstosealtheregulatortothehoseusingpipesealant.
b) Thenattachtheflareendtomanifoldline,withnopipesealant.
c) Next,attachconnectionhose(notincluded)totheothersideoftheNGregulator(itisalso½”MIP)
i. Wesuggestusing½”stainlesssteelcorrugatedhosesforallNGSideburners
ii. Makesurethatyoupurchaseahoseofadequatelengthandcapacityfortheintendedapplication.
d) Connecttheotherendofthishosetoshut‐offvalve
i. Dependingonyourchoiceofhoseandshut‐off,thenipplegoingintotheshut‐offvalvemayvary.
e) Testallconnectionsforleakswithasoapandwatersolution.
Coyoteisnotresponsiblefortheselectionorperformanceofthecontractororinstallerwhoperformsthe
connectionofthenaturalgassupplytothesideburner.
