QoS
When QoS (Quality of Service, also known as “Traffic Shaping”) is enabled, the router will control the flow of Internet
traffic according to the user-defined rules. In other words, Traffic Shaping improves performance by allowing the user to
prioritize applications.
Enable QoS: Click on this box to open options for controlling Internet traffic. You can assign maximum Upload Speed
and Download Speed values and define your own Traffic Shaping rules.
WAN Interface Speeds
Upload Speed and Download Speed: Setting the Upload Speed and Download Speed is required to control traffic flow
accurately. Adjust the sliding bar to restrict the maximum upload and/or download speed for the Internet source(s) you
are using. For example, you might restrict the upload speed to prioritize available bandwidth for download or to reduce
overall bandwidth use in order to lower costs. It is recommended that you experiment with different values for your
particular Internet connection for best results.
NOTE: Upload speed is the speed at which data can be transferred to your ISP. Download speed is the speed at which
