The important safeguards and instructions appearing in
this manual are not meant to cover all possible conditions
and situations that may occur. Common sense, caution
and care are factors which cannot be built into any
product. These factors must be supplied by the person
caring for and operating the unit.
Thread electrical wires from light kit
fitter through hole in switch housing
cap/switch housing. Screw light kit
fitter to switch housing cap/switch
housing and secure with lock washer
and hex nut.Tighten hex nut securely
to prevent unnecessary vibration.
Attach glass shades to light kit fitter and secure with
hardware (either thumb screws or threaded socket rings)
provided with light kit. Tighten securely. Do NOT overtighten
as glass shades may crack or break.
Install appropriate bulbs (see light kit carton for details), restore electricity and
test. Refer to the "Troubleshooting Guide" if light kit does not function.
Carefully push excess wiring into
switch housing. Attach switch housing
cap/switch housing to fan using original
screws (from Step 1 above) and tighten
securely.
ELECTRICAL
WIRING:
Connect WHITE (GRAY)
wire from light kit fitter to
WHITE wire from fan.
Connect BLACK wire from
light kit fitter to BLUE
wire from fan. Make sure
that molex connections snap
together completely.
ELECTRICAL WIRING:
Connect WHITE (GRAY) wire from
light kit fitter to WHITE wire from
fan. Connect BLACK wire from light
kit fitter to BLUE wire from fan.
Make sure that molex connections
snap together completely.
Attach glass shade to light kit fitter and secure with
hardware provided with light kit. Tighten securely. Do NOT
overtighten as glass shade may crack or break.
Install appropriate bulb(s) (see light kit carton for details),
restore electricity and test light kit.
Refer to the "Troubleshooting Guide" if light kit does not
function.

onto light kit fitter and secure
with lock washer and hex nut.
Tighten hex nut securely to
prevent unnecessary
vibration.
Carefully push excess wiring into switch housing
cap/switch housing. Attach switch housing
cap/switch housing to fan using original screws (from
Step 1 above) and tighten securely. Secure threaded
rod if needed for your particular light kit fitter. Be
sure that there is access to the pull chain for both the
fan and the light kit after each step.

more about your local codes, permits and/or inspections.
If you are unfamiliar with methods of installing
and wiring electrical items, secure the services of a
qualified electrician.
Before installation, review this guide thoroughly. Follow
the instructions that are applicable to your light kit. Please

any issues while installing your light kit.

be used with the compatible ceiling fans

Check to make sure you have the following:
Stepladder
Phillips
Screwdriver
Safety Glasses
Electrical Tape
Pliers
Bulbs may be included with
your light kit.
Bulb information is shown
on your light kit packaging.
Disconnect main power. Remove switch housing cap or switch housing from bottom of
fan. Remove plug from center of switch housing cap/switch housing.

Disconnect main power. Remove switch housing cap or swtich housing from
bottom of fan. Remove plug from center of switch housing cap/switch housing.
Disconnect main power. Remove switch housing
cap from bottom of fan switch housing. Partially
insert screws that were removed from switch
housing cap into underside of switch housing.
Some light kits
will require
center cap to be
removed.
Carefully push excess wiring into switch housing.
Align screwheads with slotted holes and twist fitter.
Secure fitter by tightening screws firmly to prevent
excessive vibration.
Install appropriate bulb(s) (see light kit
carton for details), restore electricity and
test.
Refer to the "Troubleshooting Guide" if
light kit does not function.
Attach glass shade(s) to light kit and secure with hardware
(either thumb screws or threaded socket rings) provided
with light kit. Tighten securely. Do NOT overtighten as
glass shade may crack or break.
Minor problems can be fixed without an electrician.
CAUTION: Before doing any work on the light, shut off power supply.
