24.MAKE SURE the spindle has come to a complete
stop before touching the workpiece.
25. TO AVOID INJURY from accidental starting, always
turn the switch "OFF" and unplug the drill press be-
fore installing or removing any accessory or attach-
ment or making any adjustment.
26. KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE and in working order.
27. USE ONLY THE SELF-EJECTING TYPE CHUCK
KEY as provided with the drill press.

TOOL - Tie back long hair and roll long sleeves
above elbows.
29. Drum sanders must never be operated on this drill
press at a speed greater than the speed rating of the
drum sander.

Feed workpiece into a sanding drum or other
approved accessory, against the direction of rotation.

A kickback occurs when workpiece suddenly binds
on the cutting edge of the tool and the workpiece is
thrown by the cutter in the direction of the cutter's
rotation. This can cause serious injury.

Do not allow familiarity (gained from frequent use of
your drill press) to become commonplace. Always
remember that a careless fraction of a second is
sufficient to inflict severe injury.
