CHARGING THE BATTERY
Charge the mowerfor 14hours before initialuse. Chargemower
indoorsina dry areaoutof the weather.DO NOTchargeinrainorwet
locations.
IMPORTANT:Useonly the batterychargerprovidedwiththismower
(Part number725-04387).
Plugthe batterychargerintothe mowerfirst,andthen intoany
standard110/120volthouseholdelectricaloutlet.SeeFigure8 insetfor
batterycharginglocationonmower.
IMPORTANT:Alwaysdisconnectbatterycharger(or extensioncord,
if used)fromtheelectricaloutletfirst,thendisconnectbatterycharger
frommower.

NOTE: Ifanextensioncord is required,useonethat isat leastwire
size16AWG.Connecttheextensioncordto chargerbeforeplugging
extensioncordintoelectricaloutlet.
The batterycontainscorrosivefluidandtoxic material- HANDLE
WITHCARE.Keepawayfromchildren.Do not puncture,
disassemble,mutilate,orincinerate.Explosivegasescould bevented
duringchargingor discharging.Useina wellventilatedarea,away
fromsourcesofignition.
IMPORTANT:Alwaysrechargemowerfully.The chargerisa two
stagecharger.The first stage,equalize,suppliesa highervoltageto
the batteries.Thishelpsspeedchargetimeand balancethe charge
acrosstheindividualbatteries.The secondstage,float,suppliesa
lowervoltage.Thispreventsthe batteriesfromexperiencing
overchargingdamageandalso"topsoff" the batterycharge.
Dependingon batteryconditionthe equalizestagewill completein
approximately8 hours.Whenthe equalizestageis completethe
charger'sgreenLEDwill stopblinking.Thisstartsthe floatstage.
Duringthe floatstagethechargersgreenLEDwill beon continuously.
Thefloatstagewill"topoff" the batteriesinapproximately4-6 hours,
again,dependingonthe conditionofthe battery.However,a full 14
hourchargeis alwaysrecommended.
NOTE: Itis recommendedthatthe mowerbe chargedonceeverytwo
monthsduringstorage.
