MOUNTING THE LASER GUIDE

I Unplug the sew.
See "ToInstallBlade"on page 17 in the Assemb/yssct[on
of thisoperator'smanual.
Make sureinnerblade washerIs In place before
positioningblade on the spindleof the saw,
NOTE: The laserguide replacesthe outer blade
washer.
Placethe laser guideonto the spindle,aligningthe
double"O"f_ateinthe laser guidew_th"the_a_.sonthe
spindle.
Positionflat surface of laser guideagainst theblade.
Warninglabelsarevisible when ia.serguide Ismounted
properly.
Depress spindlelock button and securelapserguide
usingonlythe specialhex key bolt provided.
NOTE"The hex key bolt has left hand threads.Turn
bolt counterclockwiseto tighten.
Usingthe blade wrench providedwith the saw, tighten
boltsecurely,
Removethe blade wrenchand storeit ina safe place
for futureuse.
Replacethe lower blade guard and blade bolt cover.
Retightenphillipsscrewsecuringblade bolt cover.
Tighten screw securely.

with lightsource.
ALIGNING THE LASER GUIDE LINE
See Figure20.
The laserguidewit]generatea red coloredlineon the
work surfacewhen the b}adeis spinningabove500 rpm.
The red laserline will appear as e brokenlineon the
workplacewhen the blade assemblyIs in the uppermost
positionand the motorswitchIsactivated.Thisbroken
line will letyou see your mark and yourlaser guide fineat
thesame time, 8ttd willassist youin lining up yourmark
lor more accurate cuttingof theworkplace.
Alignthe Lasertinsand your mark with the blade at the up-
permostposition.Once both linesare inalignment,do not
movethe workplaceuntLLafteryou havefinished cutting.
Asthe bladeassembly isloweredtowardtheworkplace,
thebroken linewillbecome solid.
Make severalpracticecuts on differentstylesandthick-
nasaof material.
Foflowthe directionsbelow forusingthe Laserguide.
Removing Your Mark:
Po._ttionthe laser line nearthe left edge ofyour mark on
the work surfacein orderto removethe mark.
ToCut Your Mark:
Positionthe laserline near or overyour mark on the work
surfaceinorderto cutthemark.
To Leave Your Mark:
Positionthe laserline near the rightedge of your mark on
thework surfaceIn orderto leavethe mark.
Afteryou have become fam_larwith ostngthe laser gutde,
youwillbe able to remove,cut, or leave your mark onthe
