Unplugthe saw.
Removethe laser guidefrom the saw. Lay laserguideon
a flat surfacewlth the two phillipsscrews facing upward.
Removethe screwsand separatethe laser guidecover
fromthe laser guide support.
Removethe three button cell batteriesusinga non-con-
ductivedevice such as a toothpick.
NOTE: Replacethe batterieswith silveroxide batteries
thathave a ratingof 1.5 voltand 180 mah (milliampere
hour)minimum (Number 357 silveroxideonly).
When replacingthe batteries,the laser guideshouldbe
thoroughlycleaned. Use a soft paintbrushor srmilarde-
vice, to removeall sawdustand debds.
Do not attempt to activate the laser,
The laser is activated by means of a centrifugalswitch
onlywhilethe saw motor is runningend the laserguide is
mounted onthe saw.
After cleaninglaserguide and replacingbatteries,secure
laserguide coverto laserguide support usingthe two
phillipshead screws, For proper assembly,be sureto
alignthe key on the laserguide coverwith the key slotin
the laserguide support.Tightenscrewssecurely.
NOTE: ApertureIn laser guide covermust be aligned with
aperture inlaser guide supDort.
