Onlythepartsshownonpartslist,page13,am

otherparts representan importantpart of the double
insulationsystem and shouldbe servicedonlyat a
Sears Service Center.
Avoid usingsolventswhen cleaningplasticparts. Most
plasticsare susceptibleto damage from varioustypes
ofcommemial solventsand may be damaged by their
use. Use clean clothsto remove dirt, carbondust, etc.

gasoline,petroleum-basedproducts,penetrating
oils,etc. come in contactwithplastic parts.They
containchemicalsthatcan damage, weaken or
destroyplastic.
It has been foundthat electrictools are subjectto
acceleratedwear and possible prematurefailure when
they am usedon fiberglass boats, sports cars,
wallboard,spacklingcompounds,or plaster.The chips
and grindingsfrom these matedals are highlyabrasive
to electrictool parts, suchas bearings, brushes,
commutators,arc. Consequently, it is not recommended
that thistool be used for extended work on any
fiberglassmaterial,wallboard, spacklingcompounds,or
plaster.During any use onthese materials, it is
extremely importantthatthe tool iscleaned frequently
by blowingwith an air jet.
LUBRICATION
All ofthe bearings inthis toolare lub_catedwith a
sufficientamount of high-grade lubricantfor the life of
the unitunder normaloperating conditions.Therefore,
nofurther lubricationisrequired.

glasseswith side shieldsduringpower tool opera-
tionor when blowingdust,If operationisdusty,also
wear a dust mask,
DOUBLE INSULATION
Doubleinsulationisa conceptin safety inelectric
powertools, whicheliminatesthe need for the usual
three-wire groundedpowercord. Allexposedmetal
parts are isolatedfrom the internal metal motor
components withprotectinginsulation.Doubleinsulated
toolsdo not need to begrounded.
IMPORTANT
Servicingofa toolwith double insulationrequires
extreme care and knowledgeof the system and should
be performedonly bya qualified servicetechnician.For
service,we suggestyou retum the tool toyour nearest
Seam store for repair,Always use odginelfactory
replacementparts when servicing.
EXTENSION CORDS
The useof any e0(tensioncord will cause some lossof
power,To keapthe losstoa minimumand to prevent
tooloverheating,use an extensioncordthat isheavy
enoughto carrythe currentthe toolwilldrew.
Awire gage size (A,W,G.) of at least 16 is
recommendedfor an extensioncord 100 feet or less in
length,When workingoutdoors,usean extensioncord
that issuitablefor outdooruse, The coN's jacket will be
marked WA,
IL CAUTION: Keapextension cordsawayfmmthe
ddllingarea and positionthe cordso thatitwillnot
getcaught on lumber,tools,etc., duringdrilling
operation.

use. Ifdamaged replaceimmediately.Never use
tealwitha damaged cordsincetouchingthe
