• DESCRIPTION Air Delivery Required: 0.94 SCFM @ 90 PSI (30 shots per minute). The Craftsman 18 Gauge Combination Nailer and Stapler drives brads from %" to 1W' long and ¼" crown staples from %" to 11/2"tong. Oilless design eliminates daily oiling and oil stains on workpiece. Die cast magnesium body with textured rubber grip minimizes operator fatigue. Large capacity, easy loading magazine features positive, quick action latch.
LOADING • Refer to Figures 2, 3, 4 & 5. WARNING: Disconnect toot from air supply. Do not toad tool until you are ready to use it. Do not pull trigger or depress contact trip while loading toot. Always load with nose of tool pointing away from you and others. Always wear safety goggles that comply with United States ANSI Z87.1. Loading staples: Position staples so that the staple strip straddles and rests on the inner wall of the magazine (see Figure 4). NOTE: For best results, use Sears fasteners only.
CONTACT WARNING: Never operate tool unless contact trip is in contact with workpiece. Do not operate tool without fasteners or damage to tool may result. Never fire fasteners into the air because fasteners may injure operator or others and damage to tool may result. ° Perform "Safety Mechanism Check" as described in the Maintenance section (see page 6) prior to first use of tool and on a daily basis thereafter.
CLEARING A JAMMED FASTENER WARNING: Disconnect toot from air supply before attempting to clear jammed fasteners. • Refer to Figure 10 (page 8). Open magazine and remove any remaining fasteners. LUBRICATION WARNING: Fasteners are under spring pressure and may shoot out of magazine. • This is an oilless tool. No lubrication is necessary.
