SAFETY SYMBOLS The information listed below should be read and understood by the operator. This information is given to protect the user while operating and storing the air compressor. We utilize the symbols below to allow the reader to recognize important information about their safety. DANGER CAUTION Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
Check hoses for weak or worn condition before each use, making certain all connections are secure. Do not use if a defect is found. Purchase a new hose or take to a qualified service center for examination and repair. Release the pressure within the system slowly. Dust and debris may be harmful. Store idle tools out of the reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. Maintain tools with care. Follow maintenance instructions.
CAUTION Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the operation is dusty. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury. Do not use this air compressor to spray chemicals. Your lungs can be damaged by inhaling toxic fumes. A respirator may be necessary in dusty environments or when spraying paint. Do not carry while painting. Inspect tool cords and hoses periodically and, if damaged, have repaired at a qualified service center. Constantly stay aware of cord location.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY EXTENSION CORDS into a matching outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. 2. Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit the outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. 3. The conductor with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the equipmentgrounding conductor.
GLOSSARY Air Filter Porous element contained within a metal or plastic housing attached to the compressor cylinder head which removes impurity from the intake air of the compressor. Pressure Switch Automatically controls the on/off cycling of the compressor. It stops the compressor when the cut-off pressure in the tank is reached and starts the compressor when the air pressure drops below the cut-in pressure. Regulator pressure gauge The current line pressure is displayed on the regulator pressure gauge. This pressure can be adjusted by rotating the pressure regulator knob. BREAKING IN THE PUMP See figures 3 - 4. Check and tighten all bolts, fittings, etc. Turn the pressure regulator knob fully clockwise to open the air flow. Turn the locking nut clockwise to lock. Place the switch in the OFF (O) position and plug in the power cord. Open the drain valves completely.

TRANSPORT AND LIFTING Transport CAUTION Do not use in an environment that is dusty or otherwise contaminated. Using the air compressor in this type of environment may cause damage to the unit. See figure 5. Pull the telescopic handle (see fig. 5) out until it locks into place. NOTE: This handle is only for pulling the unit. DO NOT lift the unit by this handle. To lower handle push it down.
CHECKING THE SAFETY VALVE If using an inflation accessory with a quick-connect fitting, control the amount of air flow with the pressure regulator knob. Turning the knob fully counterclockwise will completely stop the flow of air. NOTE: Always use the minimum amount of pressure necessary for your application. Using a higher pressure than needed will drain air from the tank more rapidly and cause the unit to cycle on more frequently. When finished, always drain the tank and unplug the unit.
MAINTENANCE GENERAL MAINTENANCE WARNING WARNING Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemical can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The compressor does not run. Possible Cause 1. Loss of power or overheating. 2. There is no electrical power being supplied to compressor or, the power switch is in the OFF position. 3. A fuse has blown at the power supply. 4. A breaker has tripped at the power supply. 5. Thermal overload open. 6. The pressure switch is bad. 7. Tank is full of air. The motor hums, but does not run or runs slowly. 1. The voltage from the power supply is low. 2.

SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA CORDONES DE EXTENSIÓN INSTRUCCIONES DE CONEXIÓN A TIERRA 1. En caso de un mal funcionamiento o desperfecto, la conexión a tierra brinda a la corriente eléctrica una trayectoria de mínima resistencia para disminuir el riesgo de una descarga eléctrica. Este compresor de aire está equipado de un cordón eléctrico con una clavija dotada de un conductor de conexión a tierra.
GLOSARIO Filtro de aire Es un elemento poroso contenido dentro de un alojamiento de metal o plástico unido al cilindro de la culata del cilindro del compresor, el cual sirve para eliminar las impurezas del aire de entrada del compresor. Interruptor de presión Sirve para controlar los ciclos de encendido y apagado del compresor. Apaga el compresor cuando se alcanza la presión de interrupción del tanque y arranca el compresor cuando la presión del aire desciende abajo de la presión de interrupción.

USO INICIAL DE LA BOMBA perilla del regulador. Gire la perilla de regulación en sentido de las agujas del reloj para aumentar la presión de descarga, y en sentido contrario para disminuirla. Verifique el manual de la herramienta neumática para asegurar que el valor del manómetro sea correcto para el funcionamiento óptimo de ésta. Vea las figuras 3 y 4. Revise y apriete todos los pernos, adaptadores, etc. Gire completamente a la derecha la perilla de regulación de presión para abrir el flujo de aire.
TRANSPORTE Y ELEVACIÓN Transporte el lanzamiento de objetos a los ojos, y por consecuencia posibles lesiones serias. Vea la figura 5. PRECAUCIÓN No utilice la unidad en ningún entorno polvoriento o contaminado de cualquier forma. Si se utiliza el comprssor de aire en este tipo de entorno puede dañarse. Tire telescópica manillar (consulte la fig. 5) hacia fuera hasta que enganche en posición. NOTA: Este manillar es sólo para halar la unidad. NO ES para usar como asa para levantarla.
REVISIÓN DE LA VÁLVULA DE SEGURIDAD Ahora puede proceder a utilizar la herramienta accionada por aire deseada, siguiendo lasa medidas de precaución indicadas en este manual y las instrucciones del fabricante de la herramienta de aire señaladas en el manual de la misma. Si utiliza un dispositivo de inflado con un racor de conexión rápida, controle la cantidad de caudal de aire con el botón del regulador de la presión.

SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS Problema El compresor no arranca Causa 1. El tanque tiene suficiente presión. 2. No hay energía elétrica. 3. Fusibles de casa/taller fundidos. 4. El Disyuntor de casa/taller salta. 5. Sobrecarga térmica activada. 6. Pérdida de potencia o sobrecalentamiento. 7. El interruptor de presión es defectuoso.
