• Tip spreader so itrests on front edge of hopper.
• Insert lower end of control rodthrough hole in setting cam
assembly,(Figure 1)
• Rotate control rodas necessary and carefully push feed slide
down to insert control rodend through hole in feed slide. (Figure ,_
• Attach upper control arm using the 1/2" screw and Iocknut.
Tighten the screw and Iocknut and then back off the Iocknut
1/4 turn.
Q INSTALL AGITATOR WIRE
• Loosenhex screwlocatedat endof the impeller
shaftinsidethe hopperandinsertagitatorwire
throughholein shaft.
• Centerthe agitatorwire in the shaftand make
sure that the endsof the wire are an equal
distanceabovethe hopperbottom.Thentighten
the screw,usingcareto avoiddisturbingthe
agitatorwireposition.
NOTE:TIGHTENALLATTACHINGNUTSSECURELY,
WITHOUTCAUSINGDISTORTIONOR BINDINGOFPARTS,

HOWTO USEYOURSPREADER
1. Set camdialon#1 positionandpushcontrolarmto
the"OFF"position..
2. Movetractoronto flat surfaceandattach spreader.
3. Beforefilling spreader,refer to the recommended
spreadersettingcharton pages4-5. if you cannot
locate the material you have, use the following
guidelines:

APPLICATIONTIPS
Recommendedtowing speed: 3 MPH (Reduce flow
settingforslowerspeed,and increasetothigherspeed).
NOTE: Always move flow controlarm to the "OFF"
position while fillingspreaderandwhenSTOPPINGor
TURNING,to preventexcessfertilizerbeingreleased.
Firstapplymaterialacrossbothendsofthe area- two
orthreepassesaresufficientoneachend.Then, apply
material backandforthas shown:
