SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
TO REMOVE HOOD (See FIGS. 38 and 39)
Reach under front of hood and disconnect hood latch
spring,
Raise hood.
e Disconnect headlight wire harness
Remove screw used to attach hood lanyard to front of
engine+ Hotd hoodsecurely to prevent hood fromfalling
e Remove hairpins and clevis pins used to attach hood to
mountingbrackets+
e To reinstall, reverse above procedure.

TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE
(See FIG. 40)
The throttle control has been preset at factory and adjustment
should not be necessary if adjustment is necessary, proceed
as +otlows:
e With engine not running, move throttle control lever to
FAST positionor detent postion
Loosen clamp screw so throttle cable can be moved Jn
cable clamp. (Do not remove cable clamp trom control
bracket or disconnect remote control cable from controt
lever,)
Move control lever to FAST position and hold in this posi-
tion,.
Tighten clamp screw securely so cable clamp wili hotd re+
mote control cable in place when remote equipment is
used,
The engine controls should now be adjusted corretly

TO ADJUST CARBURETOR
The carburetor has been preset at the factory and adjustment
should not be necessary However ifyou think your carburetor
needs adjusting see your nearest SEARS SERVtCE
CENTER.
