CLEAN/REPLACE SPARK PLUG
A AUTION: Disconnect spark plug wire I
from spark plug and keep wire away from
spark plug.
Change the spark plug every 100 hours of operation or
once each year, whichevercomes first. This will help
your engine to start easier and run better. Replace with
champion J-19LM or equivalenttype spark plug. Set the
spark pluggap to 0.030 inch (0.76mm).
SET PLUG GAP AT 0.030 inch
(0.76 mm)
CARBURETOR
If youthink your carburetor needs adjusting, see your
nearest Sears Service dealer. Engine performance may
be affected above 4,000 feet in altitude. To improve
engine performance, see your nearest Sears Service
dealer.
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
If the nozzle becomes restrictedor clogged withforeign
materials,such as dirt, excessivepump pressure may
develop. A partially cloggednozzle can cause a pulsing
sensationduringuse. This generally is not a pump relat-
ed problem, but rather a clogged or partially restricted
nozzle.
If the nozzle becomes clogged or partially restricted,
immediatelyclean the nozzle with the kit includedwith
your pressure washer by following these instructions:
Shut off the engine and turn off the water supply.
Separate the wand fromthe gun.
Rotate to stream setting.
Remove nozzle from the end of the wand usingthe
allen wrench includedwiththe kit or a 2mm or 5/64
allen wrench.

Use the wire includedin the kit or a small paper clip
to free the foreign materials cloggingor restrictingthe
nozzle.
Insert wire into nozzle and turn back and forth to
clear obstruction.
Remove additionaldebris by back flushingwater sup-
plythroughwand. Back flush between 30 to 60 sec-
onds. Turn wand to stream spray and move nozzle
from low to high pressure whileflushing.
Reinstall nozzle into wand. DO NOT overtighten.
Reconnectwand extension to spray gun.
Reconnect the water supply,turn ON the water, and
start the engine.
Test the pressurewasher by operatingwith nozzle in
the high and the low pressure positions.
