SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
° Raise hood
• Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the backside of the
gfilt
• Replace bulb in holder' and push bulb holder securely
beck into the hole in the backside of the griII.
• Close hood
=
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged wiring may cause your, tractor to run
poorfy stop running or prevent II from starling.
• Check wiring. See electrical wiring diagram in the
Repair Pads Section ol this manual:
TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 30 ah_p autOmotive-type plug-in luse. The
fuse hoider is !0cared behind the dash_
TO ADJUST ATTACHMENT LIFT SPRING
(See Fig. 32)
• While holding spring bushing with wrench, loosen jam
nut,
• Tum adjustment bolt clockwise to extend spring and
reduce Iilt effort for heavier attachments_
• Turn adjustm0nt bott counterclockwise for lighter at-
tachmentso
• Retlghten jam nut against spring bushing..
IMPORTANT: DO NOT ADJUST FOR MAXIMUM SPRING
TENSION WHEN USING LIGHT ATTACHMENTS SUCH
AS A MOWER. ADJUST LLFT LEVER SPRING TO AID IN '
LIFTING ATTACHMENT, DO NOT OVERPOWER SPRING.
WHEN REMOVING ATTACHMENT, ALWAYS ADJUST
SPRING TENSiON TO ITS LOWEST POSITION

TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL ASSEMBLY

. Raise hood,
• Unsnap headlight wire connector.
• Stand infront of tractor. Grasp hood at sides, flittoward
engine and lift off of tractor,
• To replace, reverse above procedures-

TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE
(See Fig, 34)
The throttle control has been preset at the factory and
adjustment should not be necessary, Check adjustment as
described be!ow before loosening cable, if adjustment is
necessary, proceed as fofJoWa:
• With engine not running, move throttle control lever to
fast (,,_) position
,, Check that speed controllever isagainst stop screw, If
it is not, loosen casing clamp screwand pu]t throttle
Cable until lever is against screw. Tighten clamp screw
secure]yo
