more.

TRACTOR
Remove mower from traclor for winter storage. When
mower is to be stored for a period of time, c{eafi il thor-
oughly, remove all dirt, grease, leaves, etb. Store in a
clean, dr/area.
Clean entire tractor(See"CLEANING"tn the Customer
Responslbllittes section of this manual).,
fnspect and replB.ce belts if necessa_ {See belt re-
placement Instruct one in the Sei'vlce and Adjustments
section of this manuar).
Lubricate as shown in the Customer Responsibitffies
section of _hts manual

Touch up all rusted or chipped paint surfaces; sand
lightly before painting
BATTERY
Fulty charge the batter_, for storage.
,, After a period of time in storage, battery may require
recharging
To help prevent corrosion and power le_kage during
long periods of slorage, battery cables should be
disconnected and batter/cleaned thoroughly (see "TO
CLEAN BATTERY ANC) TERMINALS" n the Cus:-
tomer Responsibilities section of this manua!)

SYSTEM PARTS SUCH AS CARBURETOR, FUEL FILTER.
FUEL HOSE, OR TANK DURING S'FORAGE. ALSO,
EXPERIENC_ iNDICATES THAT ALCOHOL BLENDED
FUELS (CALLED GASOHOL OR USING ETHANOL OR
METHANOL) CAN ATTFIAOT MOISTURE WHICH LEADS
TO SEPARATION AND FORMATION OF ACIDS DURING
STORAGE, ACtDIO GAS CAN DAMAGE THE FUEL
SYSTEM OF AN ENGINE WHILE iN STORAGE,,

NOTE; Fuel stabilizer is an acceptable alternative in
minimizing the formation of fuel gum deposits (:luring stor-
age, Add stalhilizer to gasoline in fuel tank or storage
container, A{ways follow the mlx ratio found on stabilizer
container. Run engine at least 10 min_ttes a{ler adding
stabilizer to allow the stabilizer to reach the carburetor. Do
not drain the gas lank and carburetor if using fuel stabilizer
ENGINE OIL
Drainoil (withenginewarm) and replace with clean engine
oil, (See "ENGINE" in the Customer Responsibilities
section of this manual)
