SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
CAUTION: BEFORE PERFOFtMmNG ANY SERVICE OR ADJUSTMENTS:
Depress cUutch/btake pedal futty and set parking brake.
- P_ace motion centre! Jever in neutrat (N} position,
• Place attachment dlutch in "DISENGAGED" positien.
o Turn ignition key "OFF" and remove key,
, Make sure the bWades and aH moving parts have completely stopped.
Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and pNacewire where it cannot come in contact with
plug.
TRACTOR
TO REMOVE MOWER (See Fig. 22)
* PIace attachment clutch in "DISENGAGED" position.
- Turn height adjustment knob to lowest setting.
, Lower mower to its lowest position.
, Remove retainer spring holding anti_swaybar to chas-
sis bracket and disengage anti-swaybar from bracket.
, Remove retainer springs from suspension arms at
deck and disengage arms from deck.
Raise attachment lift to its highest position.
, Remove two retainer springs from each front link and
remove links,
, Slide mower forward and remove belt from electric
clutch pulley.
, Stide mower out from under right side of tractor.
IMPORTANT: IF AN ATTACHMENT OTHER THAN THE
MOWER DECK IS TO BE MOUNTED ON THE TRACTOR,
REMOVE THE FRONT LINKS,
TO INSTALL MOWER
TO LEVEL MOWER HOUSING
Adjust the mower white tractor is parked on level ground or
driveway. Make sure tires are properly inflated (See
"PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" on page 3 of this manual).
If tires are over or underinflated, you will not properly adjust
your mower.
SlDE-TO_SIDE ADJUSTMENT (See Figs. 22 and 23)
Raise mower to its highest position.
Measure height from bottom of deck curl to ground
leve! at front corners of mower. Distance "A" on both
sides of mower should be the same.
* If adjustment is necessary, make adjustment on one
side of mower only.
, TO raise one side of mower, tighten lift link adjustment
nut on that side.
To lower one side of mower, loosen lift link adjustment
nut on that side.
NOTE: Each hatfturn of adjustment nutwitl change mower
height about 3/16".
o Recheck measurements after adiusting.
