HOW TO USE YOUR TRACTOR
Yourtractoris equippedwithan oporator
presencesensingswitch.When engineis
r0nning,any attempt bythe operatorto
leave the seatwithoutfirstsettingthe
parkingbrakewillshutoffthe engine.
TO SET PARKING BRAKE
• Depressclutch/brakepedal intofull
"BRAKE" positionand hold.
Placeparkingbrake leverin "EN-
GAGED"position,and releasepressure
fromclutch/brakepedal. Pedalshould
remainin"BRAKE" position.Make sure
parkingbrakewill holdtractorsecure.

STOPPING
MOWER BLADES

IMPORTANT: The motion control lever
does not retum to neutral (N) position

ENGINE
• Move throttle control to slow position.
NOTE: Failure to move throttle control to
slow p_ an_-allowing engine to idle
before stopping may cause engine to
"backfire".

leavingtractortopreventunauthorizeduse.
• Neveruse choketo stopengine.
IMPORTANT:Leavingthe ignitionswitch
inanypositionotherthan "OFF' willcause
the batteryto be discharged(dead).
NOTE: Undercertainconditionswhen
tractoris standingidle withthe enginerun-
ning,hotengineexhaustgases may
cause "browning" ofgrass.Toeliminate
this possibility, alwaysstopenginewhen
stoppingtractorongrassareas.

THROTTLE CONTROL
Alwaysoperateengineatfull throttle.
• Operatingengineat lessthanfull throt-
tle reducesthe batterychargingrate.
• Fullthrottle offersthebestbaggingand
mowerperformance.
TO MOVE FORWARDAND BACKWARD
The directionandspeedof movementis
controlledby the motioncontrollever.
• Start tractorwithmotioncontrolleverin
neutral(N) position.
• Releaseparkingbrakeandclutch/brake
p_lal.
• Slowlymove motioncontrolleverto
desiredposition.
NOTE: The effortto movethe motioncon-
trol leverwill reduceafterthefirst few
hoursof use.This;S normal.
TO ADJUST MOWER CUTTING HEIGHT
The positionof the attachmentliftlever
determinesthe cuttingheight.
• Grasp lilt lever.
• Pressplungerwiththumband move
leverto desiredposition.
The cuttingheightrangeis approximately
1-1/2 to 4".The heightsare measured
from the groundtothe bladetipwiththe
enginenotrunning.These heightsare
approximateand mayvery depending
uponsoilconditions, heightofgrassand
typesof grassbeingmowed.
