TO ATTACH GRASS CATCHER 1. Lift the rear door of the lawn mower REAR BAGGING Open rear door and remove mulcher plug. Store mutcher plug in a safe place. You can now install the grass catcher or optionat clipping deflector. To convert to mulching or discharging operation, install mulcher plug into rear discharge opening of mower. and place the grass catcher frame side hooks onto the door pivot pins. 2.
1. Be sure lawnmower is level. 2. Remove oil dipstick from oil fill spout. 3. You receive a container of oil with the unit. Slowly pour the entire container down the oil fill spout into the engine. NOTE: Initial oil fill requires only 18 oz. due to residual oil in engine from the manufacturers 100% quality testing. When changing oil you may need 20 oz. 4. Insert and tighten dipstick. mMPORTANT: * Check oil level before each use. Add oil ,Open mulcher door if needed. Fill to full line on dipstick.

MULCHmNG operator pres- NOTE: engine, present uct and The special mulching b{ade will recut the grass clippings many times and reduce them in size so that as they fall onto the lawn they will disperse into the grass and not be noticed. Also, the mulched grass will biodegrade quickly to provide nutrients for the lawn. Always mulch with your highest engine (blade) speed as this will provide the best recutting action of the b{ades.

LAWN MOWER Always observe safety rules when forming any maintenance. 4. Install the blade bolt with the lock washer and hardened washer into blade adapter and crankshaft. 5. Use block of wood between blade and lawn mower housing and tighten the blade bolt, turning clockwise. The recommended tightening torque is 35-40 ft. Ibs. IMPORTANT: Blade bolt is heat treated. per- TIRES ,, Keep tires free of gasoline, oil, or insect control chemicals which can harm rubber.
6. LUBRmCATmON Use only high quality detergent oil rated with API service classification SF-SJ. Select the oil's SAE viscosity expected operating grade according temperature. mMPORTANT:For best performance,keep mowerhousingfree of built-grassand trash. Cleanthe undersideof your mower after each use. _aI,DAUTmON: Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug. Clean the underside of your lawn mower by scraping to remove build-up of grass and trash. Clean engine often to keep trash from accumulating. A clogged engine runs hotter and shortens engine life.
4. Install new drive belt into idler arm assembly,then around the drive pulley. Be sure belt is insideof belt keepers. 5. Reattachidler arm assemblywith hex nut previouslyremoved. 6. Turn lawn moweron its side. Make sure air filter and carburetorare up. 7. Reattachdebris shield to housingwith tab of debris shield in housinghole. 8. Positionblade on the blade adapter aligningthe two (2) holes in the blade with the raised lugson the adapter. 9.
Immediately prepare your lawn mower for storage will not be used for 30 days or more. If possible, store your unit indoors and cover it to protect it from dust and dirt. Cover your unit with a suitable protective cover that does not retain moisture. Do not use plastic. Plastic cannot breathe, which allows condensation to form and will cause your unit to rust.

EUrecogedor de c6sped queda asegurado en Uacaja de Uasegadora cuando se baja Ua puerta trasera para descansar en eUbastidl dor deUrecogedor de c6sped. PRECAUCION: No haga funcionar su segadora sin eUpUanco o tap6n de UaacoUchadera, eUdesviador de recortes o sin eUrecogedor de cesped, aprobados, en su Uugar.
AVlSO: EUterrapU6n iniciaU deUaceite requiere soUamente 18 onzas debido al aceite residual en el motor de la prueba de calidad de 100% del fabricante. AI cambiar el aceite puede necesitar 20 onzas. 4. Inserte y apriete la varilla medidora de aceite. IMPORTANTE: o Revise el nivel del aceite antes de cada uso_ Agregue aceite si es necesario. Llene hasta la linea de Ileno en la varilla medidora de nivel. o Cambie el aceite despu6s de 25 horas de operaci6n o una vez por temporada.

AVlSO: En climas re&Asfrios puede que sea necesario repetir los pasos del cebado. En clio mas m&Ascalurosos el cebar demasiado puede producir el ahogo y el motor no va a arranear. Si se ahoga el motor espere unos cuantos minutos antes de tratar de hacerlo arrancar y no repita los pasos del cebado.

SEGADORA Siempre observe UasregUas de seguridad cuo ando haga eUmantenimiento. 4. Instale el perno de la cuchilla con la arano dela de seguridad y la arandela endurecida en el adaptador de la cuchilla y el cigueSal. 5. Use un bloque de madera entre la cuchilla y la caja de la segadora y apriete el perno de la cuchilla girandolo en el sentido en que giran las manillas del reloj. o La torsi6n para apretar recomendada es de 35 - 40 pies libras. IMPORTANTE: El perno de la cuchilla es tratado a calo.
MOTOR 6. Use solamente aceite de detergente de aita cad dad clas[ficado con [a ciasificaci6n SF°SJ de servb[o APL Sebccione [a cafidad de vbcos[dad SAE segun su temperatura de operaci6n esperada. 7. UMPIEZA IMPORTANTE: Para obtener eUmejor rendimineto, mantenga Uacaja de Uasegadora sin acumuUacion de cesped y basura. Limpie Uaparte de abajo de su segadora despues de cada uso. Ai_PREOAUOI6N: Desconecte eUaUambre de Uabujia y p6ngaUo en donde no pueda entrar en contacto con 6sta. o Mantenga las superficies pulidas y las rue° das sin gasofina, aceite, etc.
PARACAMBIAF_ LA CORREADEIMPULSI6N 1. 2. Colocar la nueva correa de polea del motor. Colocar la otra extremidad de la nueva correa de mando a trav6s del orificio en el bastidor. 3. Volver a colocar el cortac6sped en posici6n vertical. 4. Instalar la nueva eorrea de mando en el conjunto de la palanca de transmisi6n, luego alrededor de la polea de mando. Ase= gurarse de que la correa se halle al interior de los dispositivos de fijaci6n de la correa. 5.
Unmediatamente prepare su segadora para eUaUmacenamiento aUfinaUde cada temporada o si Ua unidad no se va a usar por 30 dias o mas.
