the grassand not be noticed. Also, the
mulchedgrasswill biodegradequickly
to providenutrientsfor the lawn. Always
mulchwithyour highestengine (blade)
speed as this will providethe bestrecut-
ting action of the blades.
Avoidcuttingyour lawnwhen it is wet.
Wet grasstendsto form clumps and
interfereswiththe mulchingaction. The
besttime to mowyour lawn isthe early
afternoon. At thistime the grass has
dried, yet the newlycut area will not be
exposedto directsunlight.
For bestresults,adjustthe lawnmower
cutting heightso that the lawn mower
cuts off onlythe top one-thirdof the
grassblades. If the lawnis overgrownit
will be necessaryto raisethe heightof

mowslowly.
Certaintypesof grassand grass
conditions mayrequirethat an area be
mulcheda secondtime to completely
hidethe clippings. Whendoinga sec-
ondcut, mowacross(perpendicular)to
the first cut path.
Changeyourcutting patternfrom week
to week. Mow north to south one week
then changeto east to west the next
week. This will help preventmattingand
grainingof the lawn.
