CARBURETOR
SERVICEANDADJUSTMENT

Your carburetor has a non-adjustable fixed main jet
for mixture control. If your engine does not operate
properly due to suspectedcarburetor problems, take
your lawn mower to an authorized Sears Service
Center for repair and adjustment.
ENGINESPEED
Your engine speed has been factory set. Do not at-
tempt to increase engine speed or it may resultin per-
sonal injury. If youbelieve that the engine is runn-
ing too fast or too slow, take your lawn mower to
an authorized Sears Service Center for repair and
adjustment.

TO ADJUSTHANDLE
The rear deflector, attached between the rear wheels
of your lawn mower, is provided to minimize the
possibility that objects will be thrown out the rear
of the lawn mower into the operator's mowing
position.
if the rear deflector becomes damaged, it should be
replaced.
* The handle on your lawn mower has three (3)
heights - adjust to the hei_h! that suits you.
To adjust the handle, pusn m on the adjusting
levers to clear the pins (See Fig. 13).
Raise or lower handle and position the adjusting
levers onto thepins.
Be surethat handle bracket pin is in the same lever
hole on both sides of the Iown mower
