ACAUTION: Disconnectsparkplug wire
from sparkplugand placewire whereit
cannot comein contactwithplug.
Turntrimmeron its side.Makesure air
filter and carburetorareup. Cleanthe
undersideof your trimmerby scrapingto
removebuild-upof grassand trash.
Cleanengineoftento keeptrashfrom
accumulating. A clogged engineruns
hotterand shortens engine life.
Keepfinishedsurfacesandwheelsfree
of all gasoline,oil, etc.
We donot recommendusinga garden
hoseto cleantrimmer unlessthe elec-
trical system,muffler,air filter andcar-
buretorarecoveredto keepwaterout.
Water inengine can resultin shortened
engine life.
A WARNING: Toavoidseriousinjury,
beforeperformingany serviceand
adjustments:
1. Stopengine.
2. Make sure the rotatinglines and all
movingparts havecompletelystopped.
3. Disconnectspark plug wire from spark
plugand placewire whereit cannot
come in contactwith plug.

TO ADJUST HANDLE
The upper handlemay beadjustedto dif-
ferent heightpositions.
Loosenhandleknob only enoughto
allowthe upperhandleto pivotto the
desiredposition.
Tightenhandle knobsecurely.
NOTE:The handleknob andboltmay be
reversedfor left handedoperation.

TO REMOVE/REPLACE TRIMMER HEAD
DRIVE BELT
1. Remove screw at front of chassis
cove r.
2. Lift cover up and away from trimmer.
3. Remove the two (2) screws on sides of
Chassis
trimmer securing the debris shield.
4. Turn trimmer on its side with carburetor
and fuel cap up.
5. Remove the two (2) screws on under-
side of trimmer securing the debris
shield.
6. Slide the debris shield rearward and
remove.
7. Remove belt from engine pulley on
crankshaft.
8. Remove belt from trimmer head pulley.
