Become familiar with these terms before operating the unit. CFM: Cubic feet per minute. SCFM: Standard cubic feet per minute; a unit of measure of air delivery. PSlG: Pounds per square inch gauge; a unit of measure of pressure. Code Certification: Products that bear one or more of the following marks: UL, CUL, ETL, CETL, have been evaluated by OSHA certified independent safety laboratories and meet the applicable Underwriters Laboratories Standards for Safety.

Wheels 2 - Shoulder Bolts, 3/8-16 2- Hex Nuts, 3/8-16 1 - Rubber Strip Tools Required 1. Attach wheels with shoulder bolts and nuts as shown. 2. Tighten securely.
HOW TO SET UP YOUR UNIT IMPORTANT: The outlet being used must be installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Location of the Air Compressor Locate the air compressor in a clean, dry and well ventilated area. The air compressor should be located at least 12" away from the wall or other obstructions that will interfere with the flow of air. The air compressor pump and shroud are designed to allow for proper cooling.
Extension Cords Voltage Using extension cords is not recommended. The use of extension cords will cause voltage to drop resulting in power loss to the motor and overheating. Refer to the Parts Manual for the voltage and minimum branch circuit requirements. 1. Voltage supply to circuit must comply with the National Electrical Code. 2. Circuit is not used to supply any other electrical needs. 3. Extension cords comply with specifications. 4.
Know Your Air Compressor READ THIS OWNER'S MANUAL AND SAFETY RULES BEFORE OPERATING YOUR UNIT. Compare the illustrations with your unit to familiarize yourself with the location of vanous controls and adjustments. Save this manua[for future reference. Description of Operation Become familiar with these controls before operating the unit. Outlet Pressure Gauge: The outlet pressure gauge indicates the air pressure available at the outlet side of the regulator.
Motor Overload Protector: The motor has an automatic reset thermal overload protector. If the motor overheats for any reason, the overload protector will shut off the motor. The motor must be allowed to cool down before restarting. The compressor will automatically restart after the motor cools. Air Compressor Pump (not shown): Compresses air into the air tank. Working air is not available until the compressor has raised the air tank pressure above that required at the air outlet.
3. How to Start: Open the drain valve fully (counter-clockwise) to permit air to escape and prevent air pressure build up in the air tank during the break-in period. NOTE: Always drain tank on a washable surface or in a suitable container to prevent damaging or staining surfaces. 4. 5. 6. Turn the On/Auto/Off lever to "AUTO" and allow tank pressure to build. Motor will stop when tank pressure reaches "cut-out" pressure. 2. Pull the regulator knob out and turn clockwise to increase pressure.

6. After the water has been drained, close the drain valve (clockwise). The air compressor can now be stored. water and squeeze dry. 3. Replace air filter. 4. Replace filter cover. NOTE: If the air filter is extremely dirty it will need to be replaced. Refer to the "Repair Parts" for the correct part number. NOTE: If drain valve is plugged, release all air pressure. The valve can then be removed, cleaned, the reinstalled.
All maintenance and repair operations not listed must be performed by Trained Service Technician. Risk of Unsafe Operation. Unit cycles automatically when power is on. When servicing, you may be exposed to voltage sources, compressed air, or moving parts. Before servicing unit unplug or disconnect electrical supply to the air compressor, bleed tank of pressure, and allow the air compressor to cool. To Replace Valve or Clean Check 1. Release all air pressure from air tank.
12. Replace the outlet tube and tighten nuts. 13. Replace shrouds and console. 14. Perform the Break-in Procedure. See "Break-in Procedure" in the Operation section. 6. To Replace Regulator 1. Release all air pressure from air tank. See "To Drain Tank" in the Maintenance section. 9. 2. Unplug air comrpessor. 3. Remove the regulator ring and remove the console cover. gauge and quick connect. Remove the outlet pressure gauge, tank pressure gauge, and quick connect (if equipped) from the regulator. 7.
Before you store the air compressor, make sure you do the following: 1. Review the "Maintenance" section on the preceding pages and perform scheduled maintenance as necessary. 2. Risk of Bursting. Water will condense in the air tank. If not drained, water will corrode and weaken the air tank causing a risk of air tank rupture and possible serious personal injury. Set the On/Auto/Off lever to "OFF" and unplug unit. 7. 3. Turn the regulator counterclockwise and set the outlet pressure to zero. 4.

CAUSE CORRECTION Pressure switch does not shut off motor when compressor reaches "cutout" pressure.
PROBLEM Pressure reading on the regulated pressure gauge drops when an accessory is used. Knocking Noise. CAUSE CORRECTION It is normal for "some" )ressure drop to occur. Possible defect in safety valve. Defective check valve. Compressor is not supplying enough air to operate accessories. Regulator knob has continuous air leak.
PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION Regulator will not shut off air outlet. Damaged regulator. Replace. Motor will not run. Motor overload protection switch has tripped. Let motor cool off and overload switch will automatically reset. Tank pressure exceeds pressure switch "cut-in" Motor will start automatically when tank pressure drops below "cut-in" pressure of )ressure switch. pressure. Extension cord is wrong length or gauge. Check for proper gauge wire and cord length. Check valve stuck open.

Si el motor se sobrecalienta pot alguna razon, el protector de sobrecarga apagar& el motor. Debe dejar enfriar el motor antes de volverlo a arrancar. El compresor arrancarA autom&ticamente despa6s que se enfrie el motor.
4. Mueva la palanca On/Auto/Off ala posici6n "ON/AUTO". El compresor se pondr& en marcha. Cdmo poner en marcha: 1, Haga funcionar el compresor durante 15 minatos. Asegerese de que la v&lvula de dreneje est6 abierta y que la presi6n de eire acamulade en el tanque sea minima. 6, Mueva la palanca On/Auto/Off ala posici6n "AUTO" y deje que se incremente la presi6n del tanque. El motor se detendra una vez alcanzado el valor de presi6n "de corte" del tanque.

Una vez drenada el agua, cierre la v&lvula de drenaje (girando en sentido horatio). Ahora el compresor de aire podr& set guardado.
Todo tipo de mantenimiento y operaciones de rsparacibn no mencionados, deberan set efectuados pot personal t_cnico especielizado. Riesgo de Operacidn Insegura: La unidad arranca automaticamente cuando esta enchufada. AI hecer el mentenimiento, el operador puede quedar expuesto a fuentes de corriente y de airs compdmido o a piezas movibles.
12. Vuelva a instalar la tuberia de salida y ajuste las tuercas. 13. Reponga el recubrimiento consola. 14. y la la conexion r&pida (si estuviese equipada) del regulador. 7. Extraiga el regulator. 8. Aplique sellador para ca£_os al niple. Ejecute el procedimiento de puesta en marcha. Yea "Procedimiento de Puesta en Marcha" en la seccion "Operaci6n". Para reemplazar el regulador 1. Libere toda la presi6n del aire del tanque. Vea "Drenaje del tanque" en la seoci6n "Mantenimiento". 2.
Antes de guarder su eompresor de aire, asegQrese de hacer Io siguiente: 1< Riesgo de Explosibn. El agua se condensa dentro del tanque de aire.
